Super easy to useI was a little intimidated by the beacons out there on the market. So many features, so many types, it was hard to narrow it down. I am not super experienced with avy beacons and wanted something really easy and safe. I had this recommended by a skiing buddy so I decided to try it out and I am glad I did. It is super easy to use right out of the box. I like the simplicity of the display and the lack of buttons. It really is a no brainer and you cant mess it up. I would highly recommend this to any recreational back country skier or mountaineer.

Don't leave home without this! When you need to use it, you want something that is easy, fast and reliable. This hits all those sweet spots, and is a pretty good price for saving a life! It fits pretty snug to the body, although at 125lbs it is pretty much winched down as small as it gets (with a lot of hanging webbing that got cut off). It has easy to follow red dots, and is pretty loud. I like how it always tells you how much battery is left when you turn it on. To switch to search, you pull the arrow down, and it is all attached with bungi chords so you won't lose it.
