A necessity for winter campingI live ultralight as much as I can but the UL options for snow shovels are weak or entirely inefficient. I could expect as much as three feet to drop in one night and I couldn't imagine going without a full-sized shovel. This is bomber construction and the pole separates into two pieces, perfect for snow staking your tent (of course you can't use your full-sized shovel but, eh, the option is there).

Nice big shovel for rescuethumbs up:,,+ Nice large blade-moves snow quickly,,+ Very sturdy, won't disappoint in heavy snow,,+ Scrapes pretty smooth pit walls,,+ Large handle great for bigger hands or mittens,,,,whines:,,- Bigger size/weight (fits nice in the Arcteryx Quintic 28, not the old W's Dakine Heli Pro),,- Handle size too big for my women's medium hands.,,,,

strong shovel!Solid, not very small but you rather want strong and dependable shovel instead of ultralight tool. Recommend it. Very good price for good piece of gear.
