The Women's 9 Series Elektra FRS Snowshoe by Atlas. A new era in Atlas suspension! The 9 Series FRS and Elektra 9 Series FRS snowshoes use Atlas patent-pending Free-Rotating Suspension (FRS ) for natural articulation of the foot over uneven and sidehill terrain with minimal resistance-providing the most comfortable, forgiving stride. FRS flexes the men's- and women's-specific shapes of the 6061 aluminum proprietary V-Frame with each step, giving the toe traction deeper purchase. The flexible Wrapp men's and women's bindings tighten easily and cradle the foot securely. Even in the dead cold of winter, the Nytex decking is both flexible and durable. Whether you're new to snowshoeing or looking for Atlas technology at a great value, the new 9 Series FRS and Elektra 9 Series FRS are built to explore winter's rolling terrain.

Wonderful Shoes!I got these for my wife and she loves them. She feels very stable in them and hasn't had to use any poles. The bindings are a breeze and she's had no issues getting in or out or staying in. Being the Electra they are supposed to be specially designed for women's strides, but with her stride there is some clipping between the back of the frame on one shoe and the front of the other. She's never noticed it while walking, but when we clean them up when we're done we've noticed the strike marks on the metal. It isn't a big deal since it doesn't affect her hiking and any damage is only superficial.

Great all-around snowshoeI have never snowshoed before, but I strapped these on and was able to follow my husband on a 3 hour hike through fresh powder. I fully expected to fall over all the time, but these provided a perfect amount of stability and float for a great hike. Definitely a good buy.
