The best boots I have owned! (And I've had a few!) They were so comfortable on purchase that I broke them in on a 3-day hike without a problem and have never had blisters from them. They have excellent ankle support and are trustworthy on slippery surfaces.They are maybe a little narrow, for someone with a wide foot - although I avoided problems by wearing thinner socks until they were thoroughly broken in. The only fault with mine are that, after several thousand - faultless - kilometres, the sole is now separating from the boot. However, since they are without doubt the best boots I've ever had, I'm out to buy a second pair. Maybe even two.
Bought a pair of these for the girl friend. She loved 'em so much I bought a pair in MENS for myself when my trusty old Timberlands finally ran out of gas they don't make 'em like they used to. I'm a fan of seamless leather boots... these fit the bill nicely. Skip the GORE-TEX version - do you know what teflon does to your body?

Boots are absolutely one thing you DO NOT want to scrimp on. These boots are BY FAR the best hiking footwear I have ever owned. Comfortable from day one and only got blisters once after pulling a 17 mi in the rain with a 65 lb maintainer pack. AMAZING support and superb quality.
