"These boots will take you anywhere" |
06/03/09 |
| I've taken them through some harsh terrain in places from Iceland to South America, and these bad boys have held up well. They may be slightly heavier than your average backpacking boot, but they are sturdy and capable of supporting a heavy pack. Very comfortable to boot (pun intended). | |

"Best boot for the money no doubt" |
05/19/09 |
| This is far and away the best boot for the money. I've had mine for a long time and have put a few thousand miles on them. They've been very comfortable and the waterproofing has held up the whole way. I've only had to add some superglue around the toe box in the front (very slight separation) and I had to use a heel cup (narrow heels) because the last is designed for a slightly wider foot, but I actually like the space for descents. They're even solid in the winter which is big plus. | |

"HAD THESE BOOTS JUST SHY OF 4 YEARS.........AWESOME!!!!" |
05/02/09 |
| I have had these boots for 4 years now. The sole is finaly giving way; but keep in mind I am in construction and wear these as my work boots every day, as well they are my hiking boots. They have been a lot of places and taken me hundreds of miles without fault or blisters. Break in is very easy on these boots and wear even better. They are very supportive and fit like a glove. The eyelets are supurb and the leather is as tough as nails. Sending them off to get re-soled and hoping they go another four years. All and all I highly recomend these boots to anyone; they are well worth the price you pay. In this case, "you get what you pay for" | |

"I bought these 11 days ago, and I haven't taken them off since they arrived." |
04/30/09 |
| I've been a big fan of my Asolos for years, originally going with the FSN 95's. I didn't think it could get better, but it DID. These boots are ridiculously comfortable out of the box, hold up well on wet rock and slippery terrain and take puddles like a champ. Verdict is still out on durability since I've only had them for a week or so, but they performed amazingly this last weekend in the Smokies. If you're looking for an amazing, "pull them out of the box and go without a break-in period" boot, get these. | |

"Excellent!" |
04/20/09 |
| These boots were very comfortable during the break in period. I had no problems at all. The quality is very high. The sturdiness of these boots makes you feel like your feet are well protected. My only complaint about these boots is that driving manual (standard) in them is a little difficult. Since the boots are so sturdy, hitting the clutch with the ball of your feet results in a non full depressed clutch while shifting. I find that I have to use my toe to push the clutch inorder for it to be fully depressed. I'm sure it just takes a little getting used to. Don't pass on these boots! | |

"Great Boots forever" |
03/19/09 |
| I have had these boots for a few years and my feet have never been wet and I have never recieved a blister. I have hiked a couple mountains in colorado, one in wyoming, a trail in smoky mountain national park, and isle royal national park. Boots have held up great in all of these adventures. They are a little pricey but these boots have not let me down yet. | |

"By far, the best boot out there" |
03/04/09 |
| I am an active member of a L A County - Mountain Rescue Team and these Asolo 520's are part of my uniform...I don't go on any callout or rescue without them. For Ice and Snow, I use a pair of Rosignal Ice and Snow boots with Grizzly Bear Crampons (big & Nasty). These boots do not flex at all when climbing over slippery terrain, the clean up nice and dry out pretty fast in between events. They fit like a glove and I will buy another pair, only I hope that the next pair fit my foot as well as my current pair. | |

"My girlfriend hates them because I wear them everywhere... even to black tie events." |
02/25/09 |
| In short, these boots rock. I've had mine for a while now and they are comfortable, dry, and relatively light... compared with my old boots (Meindl) The sizing is spot-on, whatever size shoes you wear regularly, get the same size in these. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star review is due to the price, they are a little on the expensive end. However, I think they are definitely worth it if you want to spend the money. Also, they look way better than most boots, which helps me pick up chicks... ok, so that last part was BS but you should still buy these if you are looking for a great pair of trekking boots. | |

"Good right out of the box" |
01/28/09 |
| I think you know good pair of hiking boots when you take them out of the box, put them on and they feel like a rock, then ten minutes later they feel like a slipper. I put these on, hiked a couple miles in 8" of snow and ice, then shoveled snow for an hour or two as a test drive. I have had new boots that made my ankles or calves ache from bruising the next day or at the top of my foot.... no such issues here. I probably won't hike the Appalachian trail... but with these boots it's an option. I usually wear a 9.5 in an Asics running shoe and got the 10's in these....a great fit... | |

"LEGIT!" |
12/05/08 |
| I used this product in the mountains of NE Afghanistan while trying to track down the Taliban. This is the best pair of boots i have ever owned. i never got blisters even when fording streams that filled my boots with water while conducting recon missions in our area of operations. we climbed mountains using all sorts of routes and these boots gave me the confidence i needed when placing my feet even in total darkness. this allowed me to focus on security and scanning while moving rather than worrying about sliding down the mountain. they held up great with all of the abuse i put them through. Thanks Asolo. | |

""Awesome Boots!"" |
10/09/08 |
| These are the best boots I have ever used. I used these for a 14 day backpacking trip in the Wind River Range in Wyoming and we had a couple feet of snow mixed with freezing rain. My feet were dry the whole time. These boots have over 550 miles on them and they are still in good condition. I recommend them they are worth every cent to anyone who is serious about backpacking. | |
