"Built like a tank, feels like a mink coat"  01/27/12

If there is only one piece of gear I could save from a fire, it would be by Asolo boots. I have hiked hundreds of miles in these boots, and they are built to last. They have stood up to an entire summer doing survey work on Mt. St. Helens with sharp volcanic rocks everywhere. They are also completely water proof, and keep my feet dry in situations where my friends' feet have been soaked. They fit very comfortably, and I rarely even get warm spots when I wear them, let alone blisters. They provide a lot of support and protection, and are especially sturdy around the ankles. They are a little expensive, but this is one investment that is worth making.

"Buy these boots, best boots for getting outside in"  01/15/12

great boots, will not wear anything else. feet keep dry all day long no matter how wet you get them. hold up and wear good. would suggest getting superfeet insoles for them, not much support with the sock liner that comes in the boot.

"These are great!"  01/06/12

I hiked the John Muir Trail with these. They're very comfortable and well made. The vibram sole has good traction and they are very helpful with keeping your feet dry in shallow streams when rock hopping. I did get some blisters by my heel but I used leukotape and didn't have any problems. They do seem a little narrow even though I have the wide size. Overall, an excellent boot, even in the winter!

"An Excellent Boot!"  01/05/12

I bought these boots for work in the park service and have hiked many many miles in them on the daily. Highly suggested for anyone who needs a great boot that you can get some serious mileage out of and still be comfortable.

"Husband loves them"  12/19/11

My husband loves these boots. They are very comfortable for him, and completely water proof. He's so picky about his shoes, and always complains about them, but never these ones. We've been all over Utah and the Pacific Northwest with these, and they're still holding up great.

"Best boot ever! Bought a second pair for when I bury the first pair in the family plot."  12/16/11

These boots fit my foot great! I have always had arch issues when dealing with the boot situation and this shoe does my feet right! The gor-tex feature is pretty neat too, I have worn these shoes up all Three Sisters here in Oregon and never got wet feet. Truly an awesome boot and I would recommend it to anybody I liked.

"Best pair of boots you can buy"  07/21/11

I'd give it 6 starts if I could. These boots are pretty much perfect. Absolutely 100% waterproof. There's just enough insulation to keep your feet warm in the winter, but cool and breatheable in the summer. I've worn these on the slopes in 0 degree weather, but also in the dead heat 100 degrees of summer. Boots are super comfortable and have great stability and traction. Mud likes to cake up on the bottom tho. My advice? Buy these boots.

"great hiking boots"  06/29/11

I've been looking for a lighter pair of hiking boots for some time now, and these Asolo have turned out to be the perfect choice. I've been wearing a pair of Lowa Alpine Guide boots that are just a tad too tight in the toe, and heavy for casual day hikes in the local forest. The boot has plenty of quality features that Asolo is known for, and the attention to detail is spot on. The outsole is quite rigid and adds a lot of stability on uneven terrain. Because the outsole is so rigid, you should take the time to break the boots in before a long hike, especially in the hills. From this point forward, Asolo is my boot of choice for the great outdoors.

"Lava proof"  05/28/11

Very sturdy, durable, waterproof, and comfortable. Bought these a couple years ago for 2 weeks of backpacking in Patagonia and they've held up very well. Put well over a hundred miles on them since and they haven't let me down. Great ankle support and absolutely watertight, my feet are always dry and blister-free in these. Super comfortable, fit great, and require very little break-in time, but get used to the weight. Awesome for multi-day treks with a heavy pack. Go-anywhere, utterly fearless boots.

"Fantastic boots"  04/16/11

Right from the get go, these boots were comfortable and felt terrific. I bought them last year a week before going on a 2 day hike. They stod up beautifully through wet, soggy weather, never once even looked like giving me blisters and kept my feet really dry. They're tough, waterproof and I'm thinking of buyoing a second pair. Awesome boots!

"2nd Best Boots Ever!"  03/31/11

Only 2nd best because they replaced my old Italian made Sundowners. I've been hiking/walking/etc. in these boots for 3 years now and mine look pretty much like the picture. A close friend has had his pair for 6 years and his are still going strong. They are easy to clean and easy to polish. They look like they could stop a bullet, but still are very light. Waterproof and warm, but breathable enough to hike comfortably in year round. Besides being an exceeding well-made technical hiker they are timelessly styled. You know the classic brown leather boots with the red laces that Hillary sported? These are them made for now; boots that can walk up a mountain right out of the box.
