The Men's Power Matic 400 GV Boot by Asolo is a rugged yet hi-tech Gore-Tex lined Suede and Cordura hiking boot. The new Asolo Power Matic sole is comprised of three different PU densities that are co injected and molded together. The high-density front portion secures and guarantees maximum stability. The medium-density heel reduces shock and resulting fatigue during take-off and landing. Further shock absorption is obtained through the four strategically placed low-density cylinders that are linked from the outsole to the mid sole Gripped with a dual-density molded rubber outsole produced in conjunction with Vibram, the arch area uses a very high-density rubber to maximize support over the long-haul while the balance of the outsole has self-cleaning lugs designed for optimum performance on varying types of terrain.

"Angels sing when I wear these boots!" 04/02/09
From the moment I put these boots on my feet angels were singing! I bought them for a backpacking trip I went on this past Spring Break and now wear them on a daily basis. All through breaking them in and then on the trip I never once got a blister or even a hot spot where they were rubbing. THESE BOOTS ARE AWESOME!

Awesome boot! Hundreds of miles on them, including Kilimangaro, in great comfort. Backpacked with greater than 60 lbs with no problems. Dropkicks from the top rope... not to worry. Bought my girlfriend, Elizabeth, the woman's version. She loves them and looks hot.

West Coast Trail, BC tried and tested. Great durability and out-of-the-box comfort. Kept me dry and blisters to a minimum usually get them on my heels after a week regardless of the shoe. I would highly resommend these to anyone who wants a nimbler hiking boot.
"Avoid this boot." 09/17/07
This has been my worst pair of Asolos yet and I've worn nothing but asolos for about 8 years now. I'm sorry to say I blew the soles out of these in about 1 month...and I mean blew out, whole pieces of rubber tearing off the midsole and peeling from the uppers in no time. On the plus side, the lacing pulley system is super cool and they are very comfortable if not a tad bit heavy. I just wish they'd put on the FSN soles, then it would be an A+.
