The Asolo Men's Fugitive GTX Boot is a leather hiking boot for getting away from the city and deep into the backcountry. Wrap your foot in the suede leather upper for burly protection against dirt and abrasion. The GORE-TEX® lining turns this boot into a 100% waterproof champ, so go ahead and step in that muddy puddle, shallow creek or tromp through the snow. Lace the mid-height boot up the ankle as far as is comfortable and the technical outsole will take care of the changing terrain, from rock to mud to mulchy forest paths.

fantastic all-around lightweight boot!i took these boots out the day after i bought them last september to cascade pass and the sahale arm. as expected, it rained every day. but these things shed water well, and when they do get wet they dry quickly. break-in time is minimal. they performed very well on a r^3 (rim-to-rim-to-rim) trek in the grand canyon over christmas break. heck, i even used them while bouldering at red rocks afterwards - they are some sticky sons of bitches! seriously, these things will handle many different kinds of conditions. i am planning to upgrade the insoles to superfeet greens, though. i think that's the only thing that asolo needs to improve on.

Would never recomend another boot!I knew Asolo made a good boot but this is the first pair I have owned, (last pair were Keen's.) I purchased the boot before a hiking trip and did not have time to break them in. Even with that they remained comfortable day after day. Since then have used the boot a lot and I am amazed at their durability. The tread on my previous Keen's wore out quickly and so far I see no wear on my Asolo's. The boots keep my feet very dry in wet conditions and breath well. They was recommended by a friend and since I have recommended them to others. Now the majority of people I hike with own this boot, or the woman's version, and that makes me happy!

You won’t be disappointedLightweight yet stable, waterproof, virtually no break in period, and darn good looking. The only gripe I could come up with is that on a recent trek a friend of mine had a pair of boots with Vibram soles that took the icy/snowy patches we encountered better than my Asolos. No noticeable difference on non-icy terrain but it nevertheless led me to believe his Vibram soles had better traction all around. Despite the traction difference, I’ll still be getting another pair when my eventually wear out, and all in all I think you really can’t go wrong with this boot. Also, my feet are on the more narrow side of average and these things fit perfectly.

Lightweight and breathable, but VERY slippery when wet! This is a good choice for those looking for a lighter more breathable boot for hiking in mostly dry conditions. High stitching and a reinforced toe have held up nicely in rock fields. They fit narrow feet very well and the stock insoles are more comfortable than Superfeet. The snow traction has been amazing. The problem is there is little flex in the sole that "feeling" for an edge of a rock is difficult. And if the rocks are the slightest bit wet, you're walking on ice! I've never experienced a sole that was more slippery on wet rocks or concrete! I understand there is a tradeoff between softness and durability, but I need more balance for Central PA terrain.

Buy these award winners! These are a great boot! I bought pairs of these for both my wife and I because couples who match are cool, right? Well I did anyway because these boots are awesome! I've hiked in these for long periods of time, in various conditions, and my feet have always been dry and happy. I've seen a few complaints about these being slippery and to those I say that these are kind of like a 4-wheel drive truck: they are great in the snow but they aren't really going to help you on ice. So if you are looking for an awesome all around boot that is comfortable, rugged, and will keep you dry, I highly recommend these! Get a pair for your girl too...

Best Boots I've Ever WornI bought the first pair five years ago, and they held up over hundreds of miles of hiking, not to mention daily wear and tear. I own a landscaping business, and I'm a college student, and these boots were what I wore almost every day. I left that pair in Haiti after a mission trip, but they were still going strong after all that.,,The footbed is strong enough that these boots are great on any terrain, but still flexible enough that my feet are always comfortable. And, because it's all lightweight material, they're great for long-distance hiking. The outsole grips super well, and the Gore-Tex both keeps my feet dry and lets them breathe.,,

If it were possible to make love to a boot, this would be the one I do it with! Yeah!!!This is my second pair of Asolo Fugitives, since I left my first ones in Colorado with a sweet pair of Smartwool socks. I degress....These boots are plenty stiff for climbing scree fields without hesitation. No stone bruising on my dogs. I thought the sole was soft and would wear fast, but I haven't seen any major degredation for the amount of miles we've pounded out. They provide a lot of support and the right amount of flex. I hit my toes on everything and the toe bumpers still look new. This is a very good boot for my feet, and they're damn SEXY. You know you can't stop staring. Your mileage may very of course. LOVE THE MADNESS.

Trek with pride, you are rocking the Fugitive GTXIf you purchase these boots you are doing your feet a solid. Before picking up a pair of Fugitive GTXs I would backpack in my old Iraq issued Navy desert combat boots. They were comfortable for the base and in the heat, but wow were they not suited for backpacking.,,,,I fortunately picked these up from Moosejaw and I would highly recommend them. They are like submarines in water, my feet are bone dry after trekking through puddles and low streams. The only con I would have are the weight. I wish they could shave a few more ounces of the boot.,,,,Nevertheless, check these out if you are in the market for new boots. They definitely will not let you down.
