Disappointed with Asolo hereYes the boot looks very stylish, feels amazingly comfortable right out the box, very little break in period. Waterproof yes, and breathes well. But thats where it ends. I wore this on just one backpacking trip and a long dayhike, and on the long dayhike (adirondacks), the seams started to come apart, to the point where by the end of the day there was 2 inch opening in my boot. Would not expect this on a hand crafted double stitched $230 Italian boot. The boot also has terrible grip on open slabs and led to me having multiple slips/falls sliding rock faces and scraping myself up. Needless to say, these boots were returned.

Great boot. This is my third pair of Asolo Drifter boots in as many years. The mountain terrain I hike in is like sand paper so the soles take a beating but they do last. My last pair lasted for over 800 miles of hard hiking so these boot are durable. They are comfortable right out of the box and hardly require any break in. Highly recommended!
