The Women's Venta SV Jacket by Arcteryx is a windproof, breathable, lightly insulated jacket that delivers the highest level of protection in Arcteryx's softshell category. As you're shredding the slopes, the durable water repellent finish, and full-front zip with a wind flap will keep you completely protected from the tougher conditions. As you slide into the lodge, unzip the pit zippers for easy ventilation. When you decide to take your gloves off to pack a snowball and successfully hit your wimp of a boyfriend in the head, tighten the laminated Velcro cuffs and revert back to your hand pockets to de-thaw your cold paws then grab your digital camera from the internal chest pocket to document the madness. As he plans his revenge, stuff your face in the warm soft-brushed lined collar for extra comfort.

i got really lucky and ran across this last year on sale and i haven't taken it off since. the wind in kansas gets brutal and this is the first coat i've ever had that has totally kept it out. i would also consider it a three season jacket as i wear it from september through april. it's a lighter coat, but if you layer underneath you stay nice and warm due to the fact that it's windproof. case and point, if you are looking for a versatile jacket that you can really get your money out of, this is it. it packs light and it's water resistant as well, so it makes for a really great jacket to take out climbing, hiking, etc. well worth every penny as i have found all of my arc'teryx products are.
