"awesome jacket for beating windy wet weather!" 07/06/09
nothing beats this jacket for beating snow, rain and torrential wind. you will stay miraculously dry! the high neck is nice for keeping the weather out of your face / underlayers. hood is nice and big - can fit over a helmet on the mountain and protects your face. as others said - it looks good - but more importantly blocks wind and keeps you DRY!downside: it is super-expensive - but should last a very long time. as mentioned by some of the others- its just a shell, so you'll need to fit layers under it (potentially considerable layers depending on how cold your terrain is)... so consider this when sizing!!

Ok, so I do love this jacket. Be aware of the downsides though: it is not insulated, so you will need to wear an insulating jacket underneath. Also, there is a lot of space in the chest of the jacket,unfortunately more than i need, so it doesnt fit great. The reason why i fell in love with this jacket is the styling, particularly the side zipper on the neck part. Unfortunately, the neck is so small it wont zipper when i have a scarf or a turtle fur around my neck to keep me warm! Otherwise, i love arc'teryx and this jacket is no exception.

I'm super psyched about this jacket! I've heard awesome reviews about it & I got it a little cheaper because I got it price matched! Moosejaw is AWESOME!!! Also, I found out there's a moosejaw store in chicago & I'm going there for a wedding in a few weeks.. I'm more excited about going to visit the store than the wedding itself! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.. can't wait to test this jacket out!

This jacket goes beyond any other jacket that I have owned. I ski the North West mainly and the snow can get really wet. I had a yard sale yesterday in a foot of fresh powder and came off the mountain completely dry and warm.
