ARC'TERYX MEASUREMENT and FIT GUIDE
HOW to MEASURE:
Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.
Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.
Hip - Measure around your hips at the widest part.
Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent postion, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.
Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.
Dress Length - Measuring the front of the garment from the neckline at shoulder to the hem edge.
Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.
Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.
Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.
• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.
FIT TYPE INFO and DETAILS:
Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.
Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.
Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.
Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.
Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

Not the Best Choice for Tall LadiesI bought this product after extensive reviews from others and it sounded quite wonderful and looked beautiful in color (Hosta). But after using and wearing it for a bit, I would love to tweak a few design elements. I'm 5'10", thin in weight and got a Medium which normally my to-go size. Unfortunately, it is a bit short on the hips and the strangest feature is that I cannot pull my hands out of the sleeves. I have the take the jacket off with the sleeves inside out because it just doesn't fit over my wrists. For the price, I would have gone to a different item for my tall build but it is great craftsmanship from an excellent brand and a wonderful color.

Not waterproof. Not overly warm. Way too short.I bought the large because Arcteryx is infamous for running small. I fits well in the arms and around the chest (I'm a bit busty). The only problem is the jacket is rather short. Therefore the pockets are also uncomfortably high. Stay away from this jacket entirely if you think you have a long torso and/or possibly if you wear low-low rise jeans. I love the soft touch of fleece on the inside (sleeves and all) but over all the jacket is kind of a flop for the cost. I wore it a bunch at first, but it's not waterproof, it's not overly warm and I have a hundred jackets and this one just wasn't my favorite even in perfect cool weather.

This is one ballin' hoody.I purchased the Hyllus Hoody in Coffee Bean. The Hyllus is water resistant and I have worn this piece on several rainy days at the crag and out hiking around. It holds up in multiple weather conditions and is great for cold days with a few layers underneath. ,,,,The fit is perfect for climbing or backpacking because the pockets are in just the right places. With a harness or backpack waist belt you can easily access your stowed goods. The hood and waist cinch perfectly on windy and rainy days. ,,,,Did I mention the lining is heavenly? I know the price tag is steep but this is a staple for my fall, late winter and early spring climbing and camping adventures.

Great Technical Softshell JacketI spent 3 months in China on a climbing trip, and when it started to get cold, this was perfect.,,,,The sleeves are tailored (tight at the wrists), and the lining is fuzzy and soft. But if you're looking for a technical jacket, it's perfect. Also, I would recommend sizing up if you want to layer underneath it. It is a snug fit but still cute.,,,,One small point of contention: the logo on the sleeve and back of the jacket peeled off after a few months of moderate wear. Also, the material stains rather easily.,,,,I have hiked, climbed, slept and hung at camp out in this jacket, and it's wonderful. Although, because it's lined, it works better in chillier weather (it's not a light jacket).

I finally bought the women's Hyllus Hoody after drooling over my boyfriend's version for a year!*FIT: I got the Medium and Large to compare. I'm 5'6" 155lbs - the M fit with just enough room to wear a thin long sleeve shirt underneath. If you're 130-140, the M will be roomy enough for a sweatshirt underneath, but for a closer fit, try a S. ,,*SPECS: It's waterproof/wind-proof on the outside but warm and fuzzy on the inside. The pockets are slightly high so if you're backpacking, your waist belt doesn't cover them. The jacket has good stretch for athletic movements or hugs! ,,*VERDICT: Perfect "outdoorsy" jacket (Autumn through Spring) for hikes, bonfires, walks in the rain, or morning strolls to a coffee shop. I'm a huge fan of Arcteryx & Moosejaw! (hope this review was helpful!),,

um. awesome.I got this jacket last winter for my birthday.. (took forever trying to find it, because it was sold out, then back ordered, etc) but it was worth the effort. this jacket was super warm, and non bulky. and in michigan, we all get a little tired of winter and wearing huge jackets by january, so this jacket was perfect! sometimes I forgot I had it on. and besides it being wonderfully warm, it was incredibly good looking. I would suggest this jacket to anyone with a little spare money.. it's WELL worth the price.,,,,and seriously? I can't wait for winter to wear it again.

My favorite arcteryx ever!I bought this color in slate and I have to say it is one of my most favorite arcteryx jacket. It is light and breathable, warm but not too hot and best of all not bulky given how warm it can be. It blocks out the wind perfectly. The size is true to length and the sleeves are nicely tapered but not constricting. There is an extra pocket inside the jacket whichnis nice. The hood provides good coverage in rain. The only complaint that I have is that for the price you pay I wish the zippers are nice, the feel cheap but otherwise a great all around jacket!

Great Lightweight JacketThis jacket fits me perfectly. I got a size small: I'm 5'2", 120 lbs, and a climber, and the jacket fits my shoulders really well. It lets my arms move without restriction, and since my torso is kind of short, the length is perfect. If I wanted to wear more than a sweater underneath, I would get a medium, but honestly I like the fuzzy inner part of the jacket close to my skin. It fits under my puffy coat, so layering is not a problem. It was a little pricey, but if it holds up the way other Arcteryx products do, I expect to get years of use out of it!
