ARC'TERYX MEASUREMENT and FIT GUIDE
HOW to MEASURE:
Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.
Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.
Hip - Measure around your hips at the widest part.
Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent postion, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.
Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.
Dress Length - Measuring the front of the garment from the neckline at shoulder to the hem edge.
Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.
Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.
Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.
• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.
FIT TYPE INFO and DETAILS:
Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.
Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.
Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.
Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.
Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.
• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.

Excellent jacket for those looking for performance matched with insulationArct’ryx do it again! With all the elements you come to take for granted with Arct’ryx, quality fabrics matched with a simple, but fitted, cut. However, the real stand out feature of this jacket, differentiating it from its competitors, is the coupling of the performance of an outer shell with significant insulation both in the body and the hood.,,,,The heather colour is a matt white, and is therefore not too in-your-face and showy. The inner lining is a medium purple colour,,,,The size and fit is true to its advertised size,,,,Do yourself a favour and treat your wife to one of these. Stylish and practical matched with outstanding performance.

Like wearing a toasty warm cloudSUUUUUPER warm! Feels like wearing a cloud. A cloud of warmth and protection. I'm 5'7" 135lb and fit the Med perfectly with a bit of room for layers (you don't need them) just in case. Hood is insulated, too, with plenty of helmet room and synches down well without. The length of the jacket hits just below my waist line, with a nice little extra length over the bum. I really love the relaxed but still cute fit of it, having despised other women's jackets that hug curves way too much (we don't all want to walk the runway in our technical winter coats). This is my second Arcteryx jacket and I have to say, even though their price tags are crazy high, these things rock! Only complaint is that this version does not have any chest pockets, where I like to keep my monies safe from hands/gloves constantly entering/exiting. ,,Below 0F temps, freezing rain, and crazy wind? No probelm!

An impenetrable winter fortressI'm a sissy when it comes to the cold, but this jacket is incredible! I wear it all the time-around town, snowshoeing in the woods and at the Sleeping Bear Dunes, and walking around campus. The Gore-Tex is amazing; I never feel the wind, yet it is still breathable, and both dry and sloppy snowflakes just slip off the jacket.,,Warmth-wise, I'm toasty to the core whether its 15 degrees or 50 degrees. In temperatures in the teens, I do layer with a mid-weight fleece or merino base layer. The jacket's hood cinches down tight when I need to batten down the hatches, and I love that it is insulated like the rest of the jacket, as well as the tall collar that keeps my neck completely protected. ,,The fit is very feminine and is roomy enough for heavier layers and free movement. The jacket is amazingly light and slim cut. I have the feather-frost color, which is more white-ish-gray than snow white, and it has a pretty dark purple lining. I'm 110 lbs, and I bought a size small; it fits perfectly.

Proud to own my first Arcteryx Jacket (Fission SV Jacket)I live in a place much like Chicago, the windy city, so it is not the below zero numbers that make me hate every winter jacket, but the negative wind factor that does it. This jacket makes me super happy because it is wind resistant. Ideally this jacket would also be so warm that I could almost sweat standing still (I like to be warm) but it does recommend and I would as well, for those harsh unbearable cold days to put another jacket underneath it. ,,,,With the idea of wearing another jacket underneath, I would say that the fit surprised me. I am 5'5" & 130 and ordered the medium. It fits me like it is tailored to me. I will need to find a snug down filled jacket to go under. Side note to the women out there that like more of a form fitting jacket, this has the slendering lines in the lower back of jacket so you don't look square in the front. ,,,,I was most impressed with the high quality sewing on the jacket but the jacket makes swishing noises as the fabric rubs against itself.

The colour is not what I expected...I got this jacket in the Feather Frost colour, from the picture, I would totally believe it is white in colour, but it is really grey in colour. Doesn't look good at all, look so dull and old... I'm returning it. Quite disappointed.
