ARC'TERYX MEASUREMENT and FIT GUIDE
HOW to MEASURE:
Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.
Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.
Hip - Measure around your hips at the widest part.
Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent postion, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.
Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.
Dress Length - Measuring the front of the garment from the neckline at shoulder to the hem edge.
Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.
Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.
Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.
• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.
FIT TYPE INFO and DETAILS:
Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.
Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.
Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.
Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.
Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.
• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.

the "forever jacket"I love this jacket!! It is everything I have come to expect from Acteryx...itâs stylish, femininely sleek (not sure your supposed to put those words together but its my review so zip-it!) & it keeps me warm by keeping the wind out. Iâm not built for cold weather, I have bad circulation in my fingers & toes & I get cold 20 degrees before others seem to. I just got a new puppy so I've been spending a lot of time walking outside & for the first time in my life (my boyfriend notes) Iâm not complaining about the chilly weather (he says he would have bought this coat 5 years ago it he knew how good it was going to work)! ,,,,I will love & have (due to Arcteryx superior quality) this jacket FOREVER!

You won't regret this purchaseI was looking for a fall/spring coat that wasn't bulky & good for rain. And it absolutely needed a hood. After just one day in the rain, my jacket was a keeper. While it seems thin, it really does keep you warm & dry. The length is perfect, the sleeves don't ride up and the collar & hood when used together is great. The lining keeps you very warm and is completly throughout the jacket, including the hood, which is a bonus. Plus you can pack it small & it's easily cleaned. Don't be nervous about the price. It is well worth the investment!

Surprisingly awesomeBought this jacket thinking it was more of a shell, and despite the misconception, but pleasantly surprised by how much I like it. Living in rainy, windy Stockholm where I walk 3 miles as part of my commute (perhaps similar to the situation in Chicago?), this jacket has excellent protection from the elements and thermal regulation. Three season jacket, best on those days slightly above freezing and rainy (October-April here). Thanks to the hood, the jacket can be worn down to 30-35 degrees. The black color and cut is also stylish--around town, it can substitute for a wool jacket. Thanks to the light-weight but durable fabric, it is also perfect for work-travel during the autumn/winter. After 2 years, it looks and perform like new. Highly recommend.

Exceeds Expectations! This jacket was everything I would hope it'd be and more. It's long enough to protect your thighs from wind/rain, is made up of great waterproof material, very light, and will keep you extremely warm during those winters. Although some of you are hesitant to fork over the cash just know that it's definitely worth the money (& on SALE)!!!
