ARC'TERYX MEASUREMENT and FIT GUIDE
HOW to MEASURE:
Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.
Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.
Hip - Measure around your hips at the widest part.
Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent postion, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.
Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.
Dress Length - Measuring the front of the garment from the neckline at shoulder to the hem edge.
Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.
Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.
Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.
• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.
FIT TYPE INFO and DETAILS:
Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.
Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.
Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.
Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.
Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.
• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.

Perfect for Fall Hikes!I have this in Pumpkin Pie, size S and Olive Oil, size M. They both appear just as bright as the pictures show. I'm 5'8, 120lbs, and both fit great for what I need. The S is perfect when I only want a tank top under it. The M is great for when it gets colder and I want a Polartec power fleece under it. I'm super warm then I layer the two and I'm glad I got both sizes. I would say if you want the body to be a bit longer get the M. It is a bit baggy alone. I would recommend this for sure! I bought the Men's version for my boyfriend! He's 180, 5'10 and I got him an XL. Think wrestler build. Hope this helps!

Lightweight and cozy hoody. A little on the spendy side.Lightweight yet warm. This hoody is a perfect jacket replacement for cool fall nights or mild winter days. I bought an extra large but wish I had gone with large or medium. It's meant to fit not snug but close, tapering in at the waist. I bought larger with the expectation of layering but should have bought true to size. Regardless, it's a comfy and cozy hoody and I still get lots of wear out of it. Also - LOVE the color. My husband calls it astroturf. He would have liked to have one in the same color but they didn't make a mens in the same green. Perhaps a bit too expensive for what you get.

Comfy and Breathable.. Functionally SweetThis hoody is awesome, perfect for spring/fall weather. It increases your warmth without sacrificing breathability. It also works great in the winter as a midlayer, not by itself; otherwise you'll get a bit chilly, especially with the wind chill factor that I encounter. The material is very durable, but it does tend to pill a bit, especially on the back of the arms. I, however, have no problem picking them off periodically. So considering how much trouble I'm willing to go through to wear it (and have it look great), you should get a good idea of how functionally sweet it is. I've worn it casually as well as for snowboarding and ice climbing (under jackets). Definitely recommended.

This is a great hoody and is super soft. Buy one today, you won't be sorry. This is such a soft and comfortable hoody. I almost didn't purchase it because of the cost, but I am glad I did, it is worth every penny. The hoody has a very slim cut, so you may want to go up a size. I got it in the pumpkin, and it is a beautiful color. I usually purchase black if I am ordering on line to be safe, but I took a chance on the pumpkin, and it worked out perfectly. Now I need to buy another one, I just can't decide what color I want. Thank you Moosejaw for offering such great products and having such great customer service.

Best all-season fleece a girl can have! This fleece is fantastic. Sizing is slim, very fitted. I typically take an XS-S, and am barely a small on this. Arms are long but not too long. A good moderate weight, perfect for chilly spring nights or as a "better sweater" layer in cold weather. Hood and raisin color (reddish-brown) are perfect -- stylish enough to go with all my clothes, even cute dresses or workwear, and great on a hike. My only gripe is that I have a long torso and wish the front were one inch longer. Other than that, it's 5 stars.

i absolutely love it!!!this is by far one of the best purchases i have ever made in my life. i am pretty much in love with this jacket. i dont want to let it out of my sight, and i want to wear it all the time. the best thing about this jacket is the color and the softness of it. by looking at it, it doesnt not seem soft but it is! it is very soft. and the color is sort of a khaki cream color, which i think is pretty unique. i really dont know what i would do if i had left the store without it.

If you enjoy wearing hooded sweaters, sweatshirts, and jackets you will love the covert hoody. This is a fabulous hoody! It is as comfortable, soft, and light-weight yet warm as cashmere. I ordered the carob colored hoody with the orange trim and its fit is sylish, slim and true to size. I have worn it to work with jeans in place of a sweater or a jacket blazer. It looks and feels great under my Spring, unlined leather jacket too. I plan to order another from Moosejaw - the service is great! Thank you.

Awesome as a athletic mid layer or light fleeceUsed this as a mid layer for a recent summer mountaineering trip to the Aps. Awesome! Warm, but breathes and dries quickly- which is awesome because lets be real I sweated quite a bit. Even practiced some self arrest in the slush with no shell over it-didn't get super soaked and heavy, and again dried really fast. Perfect mid layer for the summer months when your going to have quite a range of temps. Love it!
