ARC'TERYX MEASUREMENT and FIT GUIDE
HOW to MEASURE:
Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.
Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.
Hip - Measure around your hips at the widest part.
Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent postion, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.
Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.
Dress Length - Measuring the front of the garment from the neckline at shoulder to the hem edge.
Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.
Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.
Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.
• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.
FIT TYPE INFO and DETAILS:
Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.
Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.
Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.
Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.
Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

Nice lightweight midlayer. This jacket is expensive, but worth it. If you're looking for something a little more technical, try one of arc'teryx's Maverick fleeces. But this fleece is very flattering and nice enough that it can be worn to work or out for dinner. I like to wear it snowboarding so once I get off the slope I can take my hardshell off and feel comfortable and attractive at the end of the day. This puppy is so attractive I want to sleep in it. The pockets are also very useful for handwarming. This fleece is less restrictive than many others and feels more like a sweatshirt. It's a nice lightweight fleece that looks good on its own and works well as a midlayer.

Fuzzball and Hair attracting sweater that must be washed and delinted after wearing for 5 minutes. My husband purchased this black fleece for me, but after one gentle washing alone, it started pilling and I had to delint with a tape roller. It continues to attract any hair or fuzz that comes near it ( I do not own animals and from the fuzz alone, you would think I live with a pack of wolves). It looks like it has not been washed in months. I have to wash it after a short wear and continue to spend five minutes each time to make it look decent. I have to children and do not recommend this for any parent. Overall warmth is okay, but such a hassle to clean that I do not even notice the additional benefits. It seems to do just as well as my $40 fleece which was a quarter of the price.

Derek And Christina from
Snuggly WarmCompared to the Patagonia Better Sweater, the Covert series is warmer. When you look at the fibers on the Arc'Teryx, you can see why it costs a bit more; it's like they maximize the amount of air trapped by a very tiny amount of material. Another plus is that it dries very quickly, a totally soaked cuff was able to dry in about 5 min after sponging with a towel. It's also fairly lightweight considering it's warmth factor. The shoulder zipper is a bit crazy small. I can barely fit a drivers licence in it and that maxes out the space edge to edge. I'd use it to store a single house key and/or a small cash wad and ID.

Highly Recommended!Love this. The small fits perfectly - I'm 5'7" and 120 lb. I got it on sale, but now that I've been wearing it for a few days I can definitely say it's worth the full price.,,The only tiny issue I've noticed is that the size zippers are protected by a fabric that's a little bit stiffer than the rest, so when it's fully zipped they buckle a little oddly. Otherwise, the sleeves are the perfect length and the back comes down to the top of the pockets on my pants, so not much of my back is exposed when I bend over. It also looks nicer than most fleeces - it's got a texture to it that almost looks like a fuzzy thermal in person.,,It's exceptionally warm and well structured. Definitely recommend.

Incredible, & Way Beyond ExpectationsBought for layering and found it to be so much more! Extremely warm, fits perfectly, and I always get compliments when I wear it as it is stylish and of very high quality. My boyfriend said if I was a jacket, I would be this jacket: refined, & elegant, yet practical and sporty, and very attractive! This is my first fleece and I don't believe you could find one more ideal that the Covert Cardigan! As for pilling on the inside collar, it take about two minutes to pull off the pills. No biggy! I washed it on warm, then dried it on delicate for 20 minutes, then let it hang. Perfect shape. Love it!

B+ / Styling & Sexy!My girl has two of Arc’teryx Women's Covert Cardigan, and she loves them! The design is like the old Arc’teryx Delta Jacket, which was awesome and they since discounted. The original Delta Jacket was in 200 Polartec® Power Stretch, kick but fabric, super stretchy. But the Covert Cardigan construction is Polartec Thermal Pro “Sweater Knit”, not my favorite material it is casual and airy like a sweater but she loves it. Fit: Great, A+, Look: Nice and sexy, B+. Mach it up with the Covert Scarf. CG, AKA: Gearfreak – Grade: B+

Another Great Arcteryx Layering PiecePurchased this cardigan in Raku and love the color - very deep, rich purplish shade. The Covert Cardigan is similar to the Strato but I like the Strato better because it's longer in the torso and it has a different cuff finish that forms a tighter seal around the wrist. The Covert is cozy warm though and I've been wearing it around the house with my sweatpants as well as layering it under my heavier jackets or shell when out. Versatility is A+, just like the Strato. Material is thick and substantial - not thin or flimsy - so it definitely can stand on its own. I prefer jackets/cardigans that are a little longer in the cut but since I'm only 5'3" (110 lbs) it works for me. If I was taller I'm not sure I'd be as happy with the fit unless I specifically wanted a shorter cut. Overall a great looking, feeling, and wearing cardigan (and a great color, Raku).

Great Warm Sweater!I work as an environmental educator and have spend my days hiking outdoors with kids in New England and the Midwest and this is a really great product! I use this sweater three seasons out of the year and is really great while outside for long periods of time. It is much warmer then it looks and is thin enough for me to fit under my thick fleece jacket that I'm required to wear for work. Also it is great because it really conforms to your body! All around this is a versatile sweater that is both good looking and extremely functional!
