The Arc'teryx Women's Atom SV Hoody is made of more atoms than any other jacket. I counted. This is a super warm mid-layer stuffed with Coreloft™ synthetic insulation which is highly compressible and retains warmth even when wet. The outer material is Gossamera™ nylon with DWR (durable water repellent) coating so this baby can stand up to some precipitation on its own. I'm not a scientist, but here's my advice: when it gets cold and you don't want to be cold it never hurts to put on more atoms. Specifically the warm atoms in the Arc'teryx Atom SV Hoody.

So I've been debating about purchasing this jacket for probably over a year...But since the weather declined once again, I finally decided to go for it (also the XS in the viridian color was becoming very limited), and I couldn't be more happier with my purchase! I wore this jacket on a relatively short hike, roughly around 20 degrees outside, and with just one layer underneath, I was roasty toasty! It was lightly snowing up on the mountain as well, but just pop on the hood of this jacket and I was still warm. I was actually very surprised by how warm it kept me, especially because the insulation isn't down feather (what I'm actually used to). But I think I would have been sweating if I did wear one of my down jackets. I am roughly 5'0" and the slightly longer back length than front of this jacket is just perfect on me. The arms are wider than that of the LT atom hoody, which I thought was fine since there's more room for layering, if needed. Overall, great buy all-around!
"Not fashionable according to my wife......"
I bought this for myself and for my wife. I absolutely love it but my wife returned hers because it was not stylish enough......I think it is awesome for guys but of course, I can't say the same thing for females. The jacket is light weight, warm, cool looking, what more can I ask for? 5 star from me!!
I love this jacket for wearing by itself on cold days and it is the perfect midlayer for wearing underneath a parka on brutal windy winter days when I have to be out in the elements for extended periods. I love everything about the construction of this jacket--articulated sleeves, lycra wrist cuffs, insulated hood. Its a 10!
I love this jacket. It's very light weight but incredibly warm. Keeps me warm down to 32F with a long sleeve cotton tee underneath. With a wool sweater or fleece, it keeps me warm into the teens. I love that the back is slightly longer. The hood fits well. It keeps me dry in light rain. Overall a terrific jacket. The blackberry color is flattering and a nice change from black. For reference, I'm 5'5, 130 lbs and the small fits nicely.
