"Worth the moola!" 02/20/13

I bought this jacket to replace an old leaky one, and wanted a light jacket that would stand-up to our rainy west coast weather. I'm so happy I did! This is now my go-to jacket and it has served me well! The color (black/grey with red zips) is attractive, the cut/length is flattering, and the hood with rim is perfect. I love that the pockets are higher (good for wearing a pack with) and that the hybrid shoulders (etc) are guaranteed to last and offer more protection against the elements. It's not insulated in anyway (which is fine, not what I was looking for anyways), but for a light rain-proof jacket - it's great! Arcteryx does it again!!

"Super Dry, Super Stylish" 01/21/13

This jacket has kept me bone dry on average rainy days and when XC skiing and biking in wet snow. It blocks the wind well, so it's good for layering over other things. The cut is fantastic and looks really good; my only complaint is I find it a bit tight around the hips (nothing super problematic though). I love the stiff bill and all the elastic hood adjustments; the hood stays up in the wind and doesn't hang too low. I got the black which has red zippers, something I love as well. The alpine pockets are perfect for climbing and trekking. Definitely worth a try for those looking for a new shell, especially considering Arc'teryx's great quality and warranty.
