Arc'teryx packs are sized either in 3-length options: Short (S), Regular (R) and Tall (T), or in 2-length options: Short/Regular (SR), and Regular/Tall (RT).
Sizing refers to YOUR OWN BACK LENGTH
Measure your Back:
• Measure along the spine between the 7th cervical vertebra and the level of the hip iliac crest
• Compare this measurement to the Sizing Charts
• It is possible to interchange different size shoulder strap and hipbelt components on many Arc'teryx Packs, but this will not change or affect the back-length of the pack.

Functional, pockets galore for great organizationLove this pack. Has a lot of pockets that allow you to be very organized so you don't have to go digging for small things lost in one big pouch. If you are just skiing at a resort and only really need it for some extra layers, food, etc... Then I would probably recommend the 28L as opposed to the 38l. In the main side zip pocket I can hold my hardshell jacket, an insulated hoody, and insulated vest no problem with some space left over. I usually go skiing with someone else so we pack our stuff in my pack. I have only really used the straps to haul my skis once just so I could leave them at the resort, but getting them in the loop and strapped in was very simple and I had no problem with them on my back. I mainly use the straps to strap in my helmet on the back and a ski boot on each side using the side straps. This is a very well thought out design. Also while wearing it I wasn't ever worried about the weight which is mainly centered around your waist and not held high up.
