Great bag, versatile and roomyIt looks big butt and bloated online, it's streamlined and efficient in use. My concern was put at ease as it stayed well out of the way of my elbows and wasn't problematic in the trees. Bigger than some other bags, but provides enough room for emergency supplies and gear for a day out.
Upped my 'leisure sherpa' game as it regularly carries 3 sets of skis, two kiddie sets and my own without breaking my back and allowing me to wrangle the feral little ones with newly available hands.
You'll need an insulated water tube to prevent freezing as it's completely exposed [unlike the Patagonia ski pack that houses the tube in the shoulder strap].
If you're light on your feet or don't need the carry options, you may opt for the smaller 20L Patagonia as a more petite bag, but am very happy with this one so far.

Awesome for its intended purposeDon't buy this thinking it's some kind of cool day pack. It's very specifically designed as a skiing pack.,,,,Construction is superb, as is to be expected with Arcteryx. Space for all your avalanche gear and external loops to secure snowboards and skis with ease. Two organizer pockets at the top for sorting stuff like goggles, gloves, GPS, etc. The main compartment is spacious. It's accessed from the side of the pack, which is an interesting feature. The flat and curved back panel molds to your back and is very comfortable, but can get hot if you're using this during the summer months as a day pack like I did a few times.,,,,The styling seems to change every so often. The pack I ordered was pictured as being blue and grey, but mine was predominantly blue. It still looked nice and people complimented it regularly.,,,,I liked it but ended up giving it to a friend a few months ago.

Unique proposition for your backcountry pursuitsA lot of ergonomics have been thought up for the design of this pack. Its unique and so true to form. A perfect close to body pack that allows you to swivel around to reach your gear without unstrapping the pack from your shoulders. Though the material is a little stiff ( I figure its meant for more rugged terrain), it serves me both in town and out of it

Awesome alpine day pack. Roomy and technical. A+!I've been using the Arcteryx Quintic 28 for the ski season and am very happy with it. I'm 6'4", ordered the tall size, and can happily report that it is not as dumpy as the pictures indicate.,,,,The bag is roomy without being bulky (a determining factor for me). While I have no intentions of using this pack for serious backcountry skiing, I consider myself and aggressive skier (III+) and need a stable bag with proportionate weight distribution. My kids are now old enough to spend the day on the mountain with Mom & Dad, but young enough to needs snacks, dry gloves, etc. The bag accommodates a day's worth of family gear in a form that does not encumber my ability to let it rip when given the chance. I was also able to use the external straps to hold my skis and 3 helmets, freeing both hands for kiddo skis and board for the walk to the base.,,,,No question that I'm underutilizing this bag, but it does exactly what I need for the fam and is technical enough that I don't feel like a pack mule!,,
