"I always grab my Arcteryx Miura 50 Pack for spending a day on a route. The Miura is made from really heavy-duty materials. I have battered it cragging, scrapped it falling, smashed it packing, and it has almost no wear on it. You can put a rope, gear, and plenty of extras in this bag for two people, or use the external carry for the rope and do the hauling for a group of people. The Miura pack opens up almost flat so you can flake rope on to it, and you can clip draws or protection to one of the racking loops inside the pack. It also has a solid frame sheet so nothing digs into your back."

The Miura 50 Pack by Arcteryx is sized for climbers who want all their gear inside the bag. The bottom of this convertible pack is designed to stow the Pali rope bag, and there is plenty of space left over for a double rack of gear, a score of quick draws and a fistful of shoulder slings, climbing shoes, hydration bladder, lunch and outerwear.

"Bag is the bomb!" 11/26/11

I ordered this bag for my husband after he saw it in a magazine, was very hard to find in the Copper color but we are oh so happy with our purchase. It is BIG, and very TOUGH, we've only used it once but it fit all of our families climbing stuff in it 2 adults and 2 kids and worked great! The Grand Daddy of all the bags we own, and I sware we have a bag for everything, haha.

"The best cragging pack I've ever used." 06/21/11

I've used this for ~4 months (~15 climbing trips) and it’s been bomb proof. The drawbrige is great allowing fast access to everything. My metolius ropebag fits inside. It is a heavy bag intended for approach hikes not for backpacking. However, the suspension works well and it handles a full rack + multiple ropes + … without difficulty. A regular fits me (5'7" 160) well. I feel it would be fine for an overnight trip loaded with ~60/70 lbs. Some minor negatives. It doesn’t have good ventilation. The inner gear straps are not large enough to handle a full size rack + draws + biners/slings. It would be nice if the inner kangaroo pocket zipper were accessible from the outside.

"Best Sports Cragging Pack" 11/17/10

This thing is awesome. It has all of the quality and durability you have come to expect from Arcteryx. It also has the bonus feature of being amazingly convenient. No more yard sales with this pack. Both sides of the pack unzip to get at your gear with out pouring all the contents into the dirt.

"Good Crag pack for sport" 10/25/10

Enough room to fit rope, draws, harness, shoes, layers and food/coffee etc. The top loading design is a little awkward on closure but once you get used to it it's not bad at all. It swallows quite a bit and opens up nice and wide so you can get to all of it easily. Good for sport-climbing primarily. I don't see a monster trad-rack fitting in here with all the other essentials very easily. Bomber construction as usual. I'm 5'10" 145lbs and the short fits well. I have the older raisin color and I dig it.

"Good Pack but expensive" 07/07/10

A good pack but it's heavy for what it does. If you're just using to go to the local crag every weekend and the hike in is less than 2 hours, great deal. If you're looking for an all-around pack, other packs fit the bill better.

"Ballistic and Convenient" 04/26/10

Fantastic cragging pack. The fabric is super rugged. It's got some padding to it so you never feel gear poking your back. Second, I love the way it opens. It makes it soo easy to load and find stuff quickly. There is enough room inside for my rack, shoes, harness, chalk, helmet, extra layer, food, water, etc.. Then I attach my rope to the outside with the easy to use customizable lashing straps. It's comfortable to carry. The only gripe I have is the water bladder compatibility. There is a port for the hose but the compartment I think they intended to store the bladder in is just super small. You really have to stuff the bladder in and then work to get it zipped.

"Amazing pack!!!" 03/12/10

This pack is a must have for any rock climber. Its great for day trips out to the crag and is large enough for a 4 day backpacking trip. It fits extremely well and is well put together. Good: Comfort,fit, gear loops, pockets, holds rope bagBad: Port for water resevoir but NO SLEEVE to hold the actual bladder. This is extremely annoying since you are expected to merely place the bladder inside the main compartment of the pack. Also, ropebag is jammed extremely tight into the bottom. However, bear in mind I have the metolious rope ranger with a 70m rope in it

"not sure how they get the rope bag in the pack" 02/12/10

i got this pack with the rope bag since they said it fits at the bottom of the pack. i'm not sure what kind of rope they were talking about. my 70mm 10.2 and 60mm 10.5 did not fit. it will fit if you turn it sideways but then it will take up about half of the backpack space.
