Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.

Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.

Hip - Measure around your hips at the widest part.

Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent postion, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.

Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.

Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.

Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.

Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.

• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Once you purchase an Arcteryx will never purchase another brand." Aah, so true once you go Arcteryx-you will never go back. This jacket is amazingly stylish, windproof, water resistant, warm as heck without compromising mobility. I hate winter because jackets normally, especially when driving, constrict movement but not this Arcteryx. If your anti-jacket like me, then get to Moosejaw today and try this bad boy on. I love it.. I went with a Men's size Large because I am 5'10, athletic build with long arms and wanted to layer without feeling constricted. Probably could have gone with a medium, but the large still doesn't look like I am wearing my boyfriends jacket and is still flattering to the figure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely comfortable and warm hoody. Extremely comfortable jacket that fits great. I'm 5'10" 140lbs. and the small fits great. just enough room under for a fleece (handler jacket is on its way :-) ) I've been wearing it with just an undershirt on my 1/2 mile walks to work and its kept me warm in temps of 20-30s here with little wind. I can feel the wind on my arms a little when it picks up, but I don't mind it because its refreshing and allows my body to breath. If there is a constant wind or I was just standing still, I would probably need some more layers, though. The hood fits great (I even got complimented how well the hood fit) and keeps my head really toasty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Full Backcountry Season... I went out to work in Idaho and brought two jackets. This was one. The other was a rain jacket that I used simply because 10 hour treks through the rain dont work in this jacket. Arc'teryx, as usual, got this one very very very right. When I put the hood on I think my ears had an orgasm with the liner. Anyone who has tried this on will surely understand what I am talking about. The Hercules is quite the investment, but that is exactly what needs to stay in your mind when you drop the change on this spectacular jacket (plus the reward points you get back pretty much seal some awesome gear for "free"). Think about it and do it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great jacket, just thinner than expected This jacket is super thin. I bought this jacket thinking it would be a step up from normal soft shells. It is not. It does have high loft fleece inside, but even the fleece is thin. The soft shell itself is very thin. Feels more like a rain jacket than a soft shell. I'm 5'10" 175lbs athletic build and the large fit perfect. There was just enough room for a thick fleece underneath. I wore it outside today (32F and windy)and I love the fit and feel of the jacket, it broke the wind for the most part. But from my research I was expecting something thicker to wear with a fleece during the cold Wisconsin winters. This jacket will be great for very mild winter weather.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A warm jacket sure to make people think you know what your're doing This jacket keeps me warm down to about 40 degrees by itself, but it is also great for layering. I wore my Hyllus skiing underneath a hardshell this past winter and could not have been happier. The only thing I do not absoluteliy love is the fit. I am about 5'11", 130 lbs so that puts me right between a small and medium. I went with the medium for the overall length, but the chest is not as tight as I would like it to be. I bought the road rash red color with the contrasting purple interior fleece and am always getting complements on the looks. Note: I'd say that the road rash red color is more of an orange shade

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A little pricey, but totally worth it if you can get a discount Honestly, I love this hoodie. I call it my "three seasons jacket" because you can wear it in Fall, Winter, & Spring. I am 5'10" and the medium fits me absolutely perfect with good sleeve length. Exceptionally warm but apparently not waterproof (haven't been rained on with it yet so I cannot say for sure myself).,,My only problem with this hoodie is the price. Arcteyx stuff is always pricey and this hoodie is no exception. I was just glad that I came across a coupon that dropped the price significantly. If you can find it discounted I say that you owe it to yourself to go for it. You will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sickest Softshell EVER!! I have never owned a jacket quite like this one. Such a great piece of technical gear. Super warm, and highly breathable. I went skiing this past weekend temps were in the 15-25 degree range. I am a very agressive skier who works up a sweat, and the hyllus handled it perfectly. I wore the jacket by itself with a base layer and two semi-mid layers (windproof) and stayed warm the whole time. Amazing breathability. The jacket is not completely windproof, but for a softshell it cuts the wind very nicely. Wind gusts in the 25mph range, and the jacket handled it great. Awesome durability, super fuzzy inside, hoody is sweet, great in the rain and snow (beads right off), snug fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all-around jacket for active cold-weather use I highly recommend this jacket if you enjoy active pursuits during cold, wet winter months. This jacket has wonderfully soft "furry" insulation throughout (even down the sleeves), adding to its all-around usability. Still, it won't keep you warm on a sub-zero degree (C) day, so plan for some layers.,,,,I'm a small guy (5'5"/57 Kg.) and a size Small fits almost perfectly, with a little extra room for some layers. I've been very impressed with the build quality and durability of this coat and expect it will last me a long time.,,,,Overall, I highly recommend this jacket. It is tough, well-fitting, warm, and stylish to boot. A bit on the expensive side, but worth every penny.,,
