"The One" 05/25/13
Believe the hype. I absolutely love this shell, wherever I am going the SV goes with me. I wear a large and it has enough room to layer comfortably with a heavy fleece, softshell, or even a down jacket like the Marmot Zeus. The cut is sufficient enough to permit full range of movement even with a pack on, and the hood is easy to utilize and adjust with minimal effort. Excellent construction and sewing, typical of Arc'Teryx gear, as well as the high end price, but it's worth it knowing the shell you purchased is going to last a long long time.
"Love the new cut and N80p-x fabric!" 04/18/13
The new N80p-x fabric is MUCH less 'crispy' compared to the older version. The fabric hand is now very similar to the Alpha LT while being more abrasion resistant. I'm 6'1" and about 185. In size large I can were a RAB Neutrino Endurance Jacket (also large) under and have total freedom of movement in shoulders and arms. I can also cinch up the waist and hem and wear the shell with just a T-shirt and not be too baggy.

"Awesome Jacket - Worth The Price" 03/01/13
Been using this shell for several years now - backcountry skiing/snowboarding. Fantastic fit and functionality. The cut is perfect for all movement - pivots from the shoulders, elbows and waist are free and never result in exposure. Bombproof! Incredibly breathable while being completely 100% sealed from the elements. So far has passed any and all tests that have been thrown at it. This is an extremely expensive jacket, but it has already outlasted my last outerwear shell from a different company, which was roughly half the price. I figure this is about a 10-year jacket.
"Best Jacket EVER Made" 02/27/13
This Jacket is the shiz! This is my third SV and i have beat them into the ground and they hold up very very well. I am 6'1 190 and I wear a large. I have had a large and it is a tad to big. I recommend getting an large if your going to use it for sking, thats what i use my XL for. The large is about belt line for harness hook up. Overall, if you have the money get this jacket!!
"Ridiculously Awesome!" 01/06/13
Fits like a glove (S - 5'8, 155 pds). Looks great – sleek, but not restrictive. Feels like you are wearing a shell that will withstand whatever weather can throw at you. I snowboarded last week in the northeast - the temp was 20F at base, and 7-10F at peak w/ 30mph wind. I didn't feel anything. I could tuck my entire face in the faceguard including the tip of my nose. I could see everything with minimal peripheral vision lost. I was wearing a MH base & Arc'Teryx Aphix! Expensive, but worth it.The bottom of the jacket is curved - front is waist length, but back is hip length. I like it now – helps when sitting on cold lifts. Looks great, feels great, performs great.
"Bullet Proof!" 11/28/12
This is by far the best Gore Tex shell I have ever owned. Stop crying about the price and just buy it! You get what you pay for, bomb proof in the wind, snow, and rain. If you want a shell that will last this is the only one to buy.
"No hand warmer pockets!" 11/17/12
I totally agree with other reviewer's adjectives such as armored fortress, bomb proof, tough, durable, etc.The jacket fits great, cuts the wind exceedingly well, and at times was the only needed layer. My one complaint is that it has no hand warmer pockets! (minus one star!)This past week I was camped high on an exposed ridge with cold wind sucking the heat away. Even with merino wool gloves I found my fingertips getting numb. Simple pockets to get my hands out of the wind would have solved the problem.
