Got caught in a downpour the other day in this jacket, it kept me dry and blocked the wind really well. I also wore the Atom LT jacket as a mid-layer, it sure kept me warm and toasty in a 37 degree F temp. The fit is roomy, but not baggy, I had a baselayer + a teeshirt +atom LT all underneath this jacket without any problem. I'm 200lbs @ 5'11 size Large fit me well in all Arcteryx.

You can fit the jacket to you by utilizing the many cords and straps smartly concealed away. I am planning on using this for a long time so the price is nothing o fret about. I know many people who own Arc'teryx but this is my first so I do not know about washing it yet. I have heard you need to wash it with only gore-tex every year or so to keep the pores cleared out and keep the waterproof working. It is very true when people say that a large is a typical XL - I am 6'3" 190lbs with long arms and the sleeves are still a little long, but after you tighten the sleeves, waist and hood a little it is perfect!
The hood is awesome, and covers alost your entire face when zipped up. Other than not having a powder skirt, The mesh water bottle pocket seems to fit goggles perfectly, while the two chest pockets can fit most glovesIt's all good. The fabric even feels different, not as crinkly.
Picked up this shell shortly after Thanksgiving this year (2011) after ogling it for a number of months. I had considered getting a '10 version of the jacket, but the colors were a bit "unique." So I got an '11 version in squid ink, which is not nearly as purple as it looks like on the Arc'Teryx site. I had used a Sidewinder SV for 5 years before getting this coat, and as much as I liked it (and I loved it), I couldn't get used to the side zipper. In addition, I lost some weight and the large no longer fit right. So the Theta SV in a medium fits my 5'9" 175-180 lbs frame perfectly. And, I have no problem layering my Hyllus (no hoody) under this coat for the ultimate wind-stopper combo.
I was hesitant spending this much on a coat but now that I have I have 0 regrets. The coat looks great, fits great, does everything I want it to. The fit is a little looser than I thought it would be (6' 175, got a M) but its not bad at all and leaves plenty of room for layering. I haven't had a chance to fully utilize the coat yet but so far it has been really easy to layer with (fleece, down liner, just a long sleeve shirt). No matter the weather I have been very comfortable with this jacket. I highly recommend this jacket.
