The Stingray jacket by Arcteryx has been transformed by new patterning with increased articulation and a more supple Gore-Tex Soft Shell fabric. Redesigned from the ground up, these Descent focused jackets feature laminated powder skirts with gripper elastic and a helmet compatible Drop Hood with one-handed stealth brim-adjusters.

"Heavy Duty Protection With A Soft Feel." 		          09/17/08
I've been using the Stingray at Alta for about 3 seasons now and it's the best thing since sliced bread. The thick Gore-Tex Soft Shell provides warmth and wetness protection in all types of temps and storms. The soft feel inside/outside is a big bonus to comfort. The bombproof construction allows you to hit the tree lines without reserve. I would recomend this jacket to any serious skier looking for a day in/day out jacket, It'll handle anything you can through at it, it even took on the high pressure washer at the car wash! Treat with waterproof solution every season if you ride a lot. Buy One, Now, Here!

"Excellent Jacket" 		          02/06/08
I took this jacket on a ski trip in Telluride, Colorado for its first use. It was just what I needed, a lightweight shell that kept me dry and warm no matter how often, or how hard I fell. There were a couple days where it dropped 10 below freezing and all I had on was a baselayer and a fleece and was warmer than I was in my old north face jacket. Definitely worth every penny.

"Love it! Keeps up the Arcteryx name." 		          02/06/08
I have always loved Arcteryx for their high quality and durable products. This is the first Arcteryx shell I have purchased. This thing is awesome. It is super light weight and packable. The soft-shell goretex keeps you dry as you would expect from goretex but offers smoother and less crinkly movement. I wear this pretty much everyday. I have the chrome version, which sadly tends to show dirt well. If I bought it again I would go black.

"Great soft shell jacket, no comprimise with Gore-Tex Soft shell" 		          01/13/08
This is another awesome product from another awesome company. I bought this for my buddy for Christmas and he wears it all the time. The new Gore Tex Soft Shell material is great because it is soft and comfortable enough to allow the jacket to be worn for everyday use as a windbreaker, but it's waterproof and has the all the right features to be used for skiing as well. Both the Stingray and the Scorpion lines from Arc'Teryx are top notch.

"stayin warm and lookin good on and off the slopes" 		          12/12/07
extremely lightweight and breathable jacket. athletic fit. kept me warm in blizzard conditions and in 30 degree weather with just a regular tshirt underneath. works just as well going out for a night on the town as on the slopes.

"if you have the money buy it, arcteryx never ceases to amaze" 		          09/02/07
well it is arcteryx, so you are paying for a name but as with all the other arcteryx clothing i own i have never regretted buying the stingray, its a great shell that is much warmer than i thought a shell could be. the fit is amazing, it feels like the jacket is custom made. there is no restriction of movement either. I have scraped it on a lot of rock when climbing and it so far has not teared or scratched.
