The Arc'teryx Men's Stikine Jacket is a waterproof insulated jacket for tearing up the backcountry powder with skis or snowboard. The Stikine uses N40p-X GORE-TEX® 2L fabric with ThermaTek insulation. The combinations provides you with a packable jacket that is not only waterproof, but also warm. Built to throw into your pack and take it out while resting, it will shield you from unrelenting snow storms with the help of a durable water repellent finish on the outside. The expedition fit has plenty of space so you can pull it over many layers without restricting movement. The two internal mesh pockets hang onto your gloves or mitts, while the hand pockets are lined at the back with mesh to act as vents when they're not pulling pocket-duty. A hidden Recco® reflector adds a touch of safety while the low-profile powder skirt keeps the deep snow out of your jacket.

Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.

Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.

Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.

• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great jacket but runs large I like the jacket. It's light weighted, and warm. But it does run large. I have some other Arc'teryx jackets (Alpha SL Hybrid and Beta LT) and I wear a size L. But for this one, L does not fit. Maybe the fits are different between these jackets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light! Really Light! I bought the jacket this past fall and I have now seen it through some cold and snowy weather. I can say this thing is light! I have a shell that weighs more than this thing by far. It is really nice to be so light for such a really warm jacket. The craftsmanship of the jacket is the best, which you would expect from the manufacturer. I love the hood adjustments. Big enough for a helmet but I can snug it down to my head easily. I wanted a hood because I can just slip it on if needed. I don't use a pack so I worried the hand pockets would be too high but they aren't. In fact, they thought about the hand pockets and the zippers zip down instead of up. This allows you to just leave an opening at the bottom to slip your hands in and keep the rest of it closed. If they zipped up, then the whole pocket would be open if you wanted to slip your hands in at a comfortable level. The hand pockets do really vent too so you wouldn't want that when its cold. The jacket is super warm. It was 15 this morning with blowing wind hard so no telling what the windchill was. I was fine with just a shirt underneath. Would I go walking around for hours like that? No, you might finally gain a chill but I'm impressed. I haven't skied in it yet but I imagine you don't want to wear a lot underneath. I run hot though and I've noticed this thing really retains heat. I've used the front zips to cool down before and it does help but you need a breeze to work well. I luckily got this on super sale so can't say I would fork out the 700+ it truly costs but it is hands down the nicest jacket I've ever owned that isn't a cashmere/wool blend overcoat (the Stikine is warmer). No pit zips but I'm not crazy about them anyway. I did try on the Fission SL which is basically the same jacket with pit zips. The fission sl was more bulky/boxy especially at the shoulders. The stikine in more streamlined in appearance if that matters to you.
