ARC'TERYX MEASUREMENT and FIT GUIDE

HOW to MEASURE:

Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.

Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.

Hip - Measure around your hips at the widest part.

Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent postion, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.

Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.

Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.

Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.

Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.

• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

FIT TYPE INFO and DETAILS:

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is Arcteryx pants, do I need to say more?? I have 2 favorite pants and they both are Arcteryx products. Along with Rampart, this is one of my favoirtes. I am not talking about those high speed ski pants or soft shell based pants but casual and functional pants. I wear these pants (Yes, I have several of them.) all the time as they provide comfort, flexibility, mobility, functionality, and every -lity you could think of. I had them for over a year and they still look new. I have feeling I will have to throw my The North Face pants out soon because they wear out even though they are 100% polyester but these Arcteryx pants will be around for a long long time. I highly recommend this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best pant you'll ever own...really! I've had my pair for a couple years now, and they are only just falling apart. That may not sound like a long time, but I have pretty much lived in these pants. At first I only used them for looking good, (they look so classy) but after a couple weeks I realized that I never wanted to take them off. From then on they have done everything I do which includes a good bit of climbing, hiking, biking, and 4 months of working on a construction site. The construction ended up doing in the knees and heels, but these pants help up for much longer then I expected them to. They don't feel very tough when you get them, but they take a massive amount of abuse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mysteriously Great Pants This is my second pair of Arcteryx Spotter Pants I'm getting. My first one, I wore it through to the point you could see my boxers. The legs also were worn out so badly, they were pretty much shorts. That's how much I liked them. As long as the bird logo was visible I kept wearing them until I was cited by the cops for indecency, because they could see my ass hanging out. Now with these new pair, no more people staring at my ass and laughing. The pockets on the side of the legs, at first, seemed a bit oddly positioned, but if you are bouldering in these pants, they make sense. I put my brush and medical tape in those pockets. They aren't in the way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent pants from the company named after a dead bird. Go ahead and get these pants. They do everything you could ask and do it with style. The gussets mean everything stays where it should without riding up; same thing for the lined waistband, undergarments stay where they belong. Super durable fabric like chainmail but oh so comfy. And they block wind well too. Perfect for cutting through a jungle and heading out on the town after. Comparable in price to others by Mountain Hardware or Outdoor Research, but the quality is easily a step or two above. On a side note, the front pockets are (exceedingly) deep, like 9-10", not loose, just deep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid pants for any activity These are like the cadillac of carhartts. They're nice and sturdy canvas material with an excellent pattern that allows for freedom of movement. The microfleece liner around the waistband is an excellent touch! They can handle week+ trips without rotation! I'm 5'10" 145lbs and the 30x32 fits perfect. Very comfortable, I've slept in them a few times too. They may become your favorite pair of pants, especially when you break them in! Bouldering sessions, backcountry hiking, or drunken pumpkin carving, they'll do it all.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Short fit I have several Arcteryx products and it seems that over the last couple of years their sizing has seemed to shorten up. I found the legs to be a tad short especially when wearing hiking boots. I am 6' with a 32" inseam and 36" waist. The waist was fine but they were definitely short in the crotch area. I cannot believe they would be comfortable on a hike, although they would probably be fine wearing them out casually.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very comfy but not durable I have had lots of arcteryx products and some last forever (like a Fission AR jacket from 2002 that has all stitching and zippers intact). These pants fit well, they are comfortable, pockets are mostly well placed - but this thing is not durable at all. After wearing them for four months, there is a see through hole where the fabric bunches up in the seat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pant for the Climber/Backpacker/ - Individual needing a robust pant. These are a simple, well-fitting, durable pant. They are great for climbing, hiking, and those that need a pant that will last. Solid construction and material choices, ensure this pant will stand the test of time.,,,,One note: The wife loves how the butt looks...so you guys can't go wrong.
