"Pricey Awesomeness" 11/20/12
I own a lot of Arc'teryx gear, but this is one of those products that I always viewed as being absurdly overpriced, until I bought one. It's probably the most versatile & comfortable piece of clothing I own. I've since picked up a few more on sale & absolutely love these things. A note about the sizing; I typically wear a Large in all other Arc'teryx gear, but I went with an XL in these for use as a base layer & an XXL for casual use and I'm very happy with the fit. They have super tight fit, even for a base layer (think Under Armour compression-esque), so think about sizing up if you want a little more breathing room.
"Great fit and surprisingly warm" 11/08/11
I have 3 RHO AR tops and this is my first LT, the fit is great and the inside is soft and warm but breathes extremely well. Once again, you pay more for Arcteryx, but you get what you pay for...the best IMO
"lightweight snug baselayer" 07/31/11
At 6'1" 158lbs, medium (15 1/2 neck and 40" chest) fits comfortably yet form-fitting to the body. It is also very lightweight. I have long arms and there's plenty of length in the sleeves. I highly recommend it.
"Tight...almost too tight!" 07/15/11
Avid runner. Needed a thin pullover for the winter. Works great, but really tight. I wear a large in my arcteryx jackets but this pullover is way too tight in the chest. Almost uncomfortable. Both of my large jackets fit great. I probably won't buy arcteryx again without trying it on first. I should have sent it back, but i kept thinking it would stretch. It did not.
"Good base layer that will show off your man-curves." 02/22/10
Not much to say about the Rho LT. Arcteryx build quality, yes. Good for what its purpose is (base layer), yes. Really tight fit because it is supposed to be, double yes. If you are even remotely thinking about wearing this thing as a standalone, order two sizes up from what you would ordinarily order. For folks that want to be able to tuck it in, also consider ordering a bigger size... it'll shrink some when you wash it the first time.
"One of the most beautiful garments I have ever seen! And fit and performance too!" 01/31/10
First, the fit is close. If you want it to look like the product picture, you need to look like that underneath. It is body hugging, super thin, so soft and with just the right amount of lycra. Not sure what it will look like in a year, but from other Arcteryx products I have, I expect it will look almost new. If you can wear wool, the LTW has the same fit, etc. I have a ton of Capilene and some other brands and they are no where near this top (although they also cost less, too.) If the fit works for you-highly recommended!
"a must have" 04/07/09
Love this piece from Arcteryx. In fact this was the third one that I now own. I live in them, they are so warm and comfortable. Would highly recommend this item to anyone for a base layer or a nice layer by itself.
"Great Base Layer for Cold Outdoor Activities" 04/02/09
I bought this shirt for my husband and he loves it! We are big outdoor people and this shirt kept him warm on our winter Adirondack hike. It's not the most attractive shirt when worn alone but for activities it's great.
"awesome!" 03/14/09
I have this top in Black. It is a great piece. I generally use it as a layering piece for skiing. The fabric feels great against the skin, soft and comfortable. It also looks great on its own. I have received several compliments on it when wearing it after skiing or hiking. The single pocket is great it is a great size and doesn't sag. I often carry my cell phone in the chest pocket.
"Purely a technical base layer" 11/12/08
Fits next to skin, almost like you would expect Underarmor to fit; but it’s not too tight to ware you would find it restricting. I love this as a base layer, soft, and moves with you vary well. This could be worn alone on cool days for aerobic activities. The only down side as with all synthetic base layers is that it will hold the stink you get from doing the activities this is meant for; stick with wool if you are staying in the backcountry…you will want to wash this item after each use.I am 6 ft. 175 lbs. athletic build and a medium fits like a glove. Some may find it a bit short; keep this in mind if you like your base layers tucked in.
