"Awesome if you dont fall!"  12/13/11

This Arcty is so smooth and light, you forget your wearing it. Honestly you feel the rope tug more while leading. Cons: with no padding at all, big, or repeated falls aren't the best feeling. After 6 attempts on the crux of a 10c ( with a good 7-8ft fall) the backs of my thighs were noticeably bruised. Sizing: I got the M and my waist is exactly 34" ( with pants on ) It fits great for me, but i normally wear a 32 waist. One thing I would change is the leg loops design. You can't tighten the loops, they have an elastic section to keep it tight. I could have used a smidgen tighter. Additionally, what happens if the elastic wears out? I would NOT add padding, Its motivation not to fall!

"Love this harness, but also consider the newer ones with adjustable leg loops"  12/03/11

I liked this harness so much I bought a second Arc'teryx harness- the S240. Both are great, the S240 is my single pitch sport and gym harness, while the R320 is what I use on bigger climbs and trad routes. Both are light and comfy, but the R320 is slightly more comfortable for sitting on if you're projecting or taking photos off a line. My only minor complaint with this harness is the lack of adjustable leg loops, as sometimes I would like the extra control to tighten the legs.

"Very light, very comfortable while climbing, belays and waits can get a little painful."  10/26/11

The bad: There is no adjustment on the leg diameter, there is no structural loop on the back (just a small plastic D-Ring that you could maybe work with a chalk bag), the padding is thin. The good: Everything else. The buckle is easy to use, the gear loops are sturdy and spacious, you can barely feel the thing when you're wearing it, and the padding is comfortable when you're not supporting someone's weight on it. I got mine on sale, and I don't know if I would pay full price for it or not, but I am very happy with it. The large fits my 32-34 waist well, but any smaller I would definitely go with the medium. Great product overall, can't wait to climb more in it.

"Best harness I've owned"  09/20/11

This is the best Harness!! Super light, comfortable and very durable. Excellent gear loops easy to unclip and clip gear to it. You will forget you are wearing a harness.

"Best Harness!"  06/03/11

This harness is so comfortable and so light, I couldn't see climbing in anything else under 4 pitches. Long belays can be a little annoying, but climbing in it is so nice it is worth the discomfort. I had a 2 hour semi-hanging belay in it and I wasn't sore afterward. Top-notch harness in my humble opinion.

"Great harness."  03/14/11

This product exceeded my high expectations. Very light and surprisingly comfortable. I would use this harness in any sport climbing scenario excepting perhaps spending hours hangdogging on your latest project.I took a short but high fall-factor drop onto a dyneema sling (doesn't stretch!) directly attached to a bolt hanger while wearing this harness. The harness distributed the harsh forces better than I would have thought -- no harness bruises! The gear loops have been more durable than I would have guessed also (so far, anyway). Oh, and Arcteryx will replace your harness if it wears out.

"Awesome!"  12/30/10

This harness is awesome! It is so light and you hardly know its on. Great for getting the project clean. However, I would only recommend it for single pitch climbing. I wouldn't suggest it for any multi-pitch, it can get painful if your waiting it for any extended period of time.

"ridiculously lightweight, compact, comfortable harness"  12/02/10

so far i've done some sport climbing and gym climbing with this harness and i'm thoroughly impressed. if you've done your research like i did, you'll hear a lot about how comfortable it is and how lightweight it is. how people hike back to their cars and forget that it's on. well let me tell you, these are not exaggerations. this harness is awesome. my only caveats are: i haven't really tested the strength of the gear loops yet with a lot of heavy gear yet. nor have tested its abrasion resistance doing "rough" climbs (like scraping up a chimney). but from what i've read, these won't be an issue either.

"Fred Nicole wears it.."  10/27/10

It must be good.. Right???? This thing is amazing. Not designed for french fashion models, as mentioned below. Designed for french savages like Fred. It is burly and elegant at the same time. I tried on many harness before replacing my old Arc'teryx vapor harness with this one. It was expensive but I got it on sale and that alleviated some of the sticker shock.. After using it for a year, I would gladly pay full price for it when this one wears out. If saftey, climbing comfortably, lightweight gear, and aesthetics are important to you, this harness may also be important to you. Get it. I have a 29" waist and the small fits great, it could probably handle a 27"-31" waist.
