"very warm, very light, awesome overall" 03/22/13

Very light and warm for its weight, fits well, doesn't accumulate odors easily. Waist band fits snugly but not snug enough to hurt your stomach. Works really well, there are lots of cheaper options that might be better value, but this one is top notch.

"Fantastic Base Layer for Winter Hiking" 12/29/11

I had a hard time finding reviews for this synthetic weave so I had to go out on a limb and try it myself. It's marketed for vigorous stop-and-go activities and it works! Hiking in Alaska in single digit temperatures I wore this and a pant shell and I was very comfortable. This high-tech material is infused with silver ions so the odor is not as offensive as you expect from typical synthetics. I was very impressed with this material and I look forward to trying out more products made of the same stuff.

"Great for all but frigid conditions" 12/05/10

OK, here's the deal. For cold weather expedition-type climbs, there are two ways to go. Anthing above zero, use a phase SV layer over underarmor boxers/ tank top and beneath a shell or fleece, depending on how cold you get. Below zero, use a RHO layer instead of the phase. Point being, you only need one layer to get warmth. Even if phase is twice as expensive as other base layers, you save a layer and gain a lot of comfort, so its still a bargain. Yes, I'm an arc teryx snob, but there's a reason. There just that awesome.

"Could be me" 11/14/10

These seemed a little tight, but comfortable. I think the tightness of them restricted the blood flow to my legs so I lost a little warmth. They are good quality so it may be just me. I will update with another review after more use if things change.
