Bought this as a replacement for a jacket that had seen daily year-round use for seven years and was finally getting a bit worn. The cut of the jacket is great, with very large side pockets (placed high to clear a hip-belt or climbing harness) and works nicely as a casual everyday jacket when not on the slopes or in the backcountry. The new fabric has a denser and generally stiffer, more neoprene-like feel than the old jacket's Polartec PowerDry, which I dislike (it makes it feel heavier and more difficult to pack). On the plus side, it sheds less on the layers you're wearing underneath (used to be a problem with light-colored cotton shirts). Warmth and durability seem to be unchanged (still excellent).Overall, I hope it will last several more years, but I will unlikely purchase again when it wears out.
Nothing wrong with jacket evidently I am a tweener. It's not very warm designed more for active movement, durable, cuts wind, sheds rain, stylish, but the cut was problem for me.5'10 183 lbs, my shoulders put me in a large but the sleeves are a bit long... medium sleeves fit well but trunk/shoulders too tight. Nevertheless if it fit's your body and needs it would be a great addition to your kit.
This jacket was everything I was looking for and more. First of all, it looks and feels great. I will warn you that it does fit close to your body, but the fit is comfortable and allows your arms to freely move. The material is very durable and wind-resistant, and it will keep you warm in colder temperatures. Compared to other brands, I would say, without hesitation, the quality and appearance of this jacket wins first prize. I have had many compliments and I absolutely love wearing it. If you are worried about the price, don't be because it is well worth it!!
