Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.

Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.

Hip - Measure around your hips at the widest part.

Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent position, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.

Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.

Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.

Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.

Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.

• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Withstands Weird Windy-city Winter Weather. Despite a warm wool winter toggle coat, I was frequently cold. A recent camping trip with my son in some prematurely nast weather - first wet, then below freezing - convinced me of my need for a coat that was warm, waterproof, and didn't make me look like Paddington Bear. This really delivers. I'm 6'1" and weigh 265 pounds. I wear a size 50 sport coat, and the XXL fits great without making me look like a giant blue python that just ate a goat. The down sides are minor: it's slightly noisy, and the cuffs aren't comfy soft. The take home message: 1.) it looks great and it works; 2.) nothing else is this warm, breathable, wind and waterproof; 3.) it's worth the money - think of the rewards points!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bomber This jacket is bomber. It cuts wind and rain like there's no tomorrow. On top of those properties it is very warm. I've worn this out in several Black Hills blizzards this past year and usually ended up taking a layer off under it at 15 degrees because I was to warm. In spring, wet blizzards, it can get a lttle warm during the day but it does wick fairly well with nothing but a thin polypropylene under it. The Fission jacket is my go to protection thru most of the winter days and nites.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bomber and warm Have this for two seasons, from Moosejaw, in black. Very warm, like 25F run I outdoors with tee-shirt and Fission SV. :) Use it as AR jacket in winter. Even occasional skiing in North East, Stowe in particular, when it's really nasty cold and windy. I'm 5'10" athletic a bit of tweener for Arcteryx sizing and aq large is best fit for me in this jacket due to my awe3some swimmers shoulders, sleeves a little long but what the hay it's Swany gauntlet gloves are a fix for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Jacket - Quite Expensive I've been testing this Jacket out all season long. We've had A LOT of snow and bad weather. Anything below 30 degrees and this jacket was my go to. Like the description says, when you put the jacket on you're in your own micro-climate. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Every time I wear the jacket I'm thankful for it's warmth. Was standing out in the rain last night, (probably the last time I'll do it this season) and I couldn't believe how comfortable and dry I was. It was like the rain was in a movie and was watching through a screen. If you want a jacket that is going to keep you warm and dry and badass. Then try this jacket. ,,,,It is though, VERY expensive. I was lucky and got and amazing deal. Paid less than half price. I think initially I wouldn't have shelled out all that money, but after owning one I don't think I could go back. It's just too good. ,,,,Enjoy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible jacket, worth every penny! This jacket cost me an arm and a leg especially for a college student but I assure you it is worth every single penny. This is by far the warmest jacket I have ever owned. I love that it is wind and water proof, the gore-tex is amazing. The hood is adjustable but I do wish it was a little smaller. That one small detail would never prevent me from purchasing this jacket though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatest jacket ever had This jacket was bought for my father as a gift. He is slim but the this jacket in size SMALL with 3d cut definitely gives him a robust image. I'm surprising to find this serendipity besides the practical use of the Arc'teryx jacket. Fission SV fits perfectly for winter warmth. It is remarkably warm considering how thin the insulation is and how little the jacket weighs. When needed, the jacket compresses well in a back pack and decompresses readily enough back to life. For warmth rivaling a massive down parka, one needs to layer, something easily done as there is plenty of give and space and when one is done, one does not look like a puff ball. The jacket is bland in appearance, receiving no comments from others good or bad. Can not say from first-hand experience how the jacket performs when challenged with prolonged wet -- but can say that there does appear to have been exquisite attention to seams and other potential leak points. This is a quality product which surprise me a lot!
