Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.

Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.

Hip - Measure around your hips at the widest part.

Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent position, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.

Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.

Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.

Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.

Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.

• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Typical arcteryx awesomeness. Really wish it had pit zips, bummer. However it is a great jacket. Extremely durable and very light. I am about 6'2" 165 lbs and the large fits wonderfully. You can hike in the teens in this jacket with only a long sleeve base layer shirt, and if you hustle on the trail like I do, you will get hot! If you take your time and snap some photos and are not in a hurry, you should be very comfortable. Lives up to the name arcteryx! Went hiking by the lake, half frozen, about 18 degrees, wind was howling, and the only thing that got cold was my face. I couldn't even tell the wind was blowing. Water and wind are no match for this jacket. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the extra money, best jacket I have ever worn This is an incredible jacket. I've had both North Face and Mountain Hardware coats and wearing this is just a better experience. If you're willing to shell out the extra money for Arcteryx's ridiculous prices, you'll be glad you did. This jacket is warm, tough, and stylish...and the small details like a swooping tail on the back make all the difference (who can frown when their butt is warm). I've beat the crap out of this thing and it should have tons of holes in it by now, but it doesn't. Would've been on my second coat from any other company. Most importantly, I have never been cold in this jacket, no matter how much wind and snow is coming at me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST of the very best available This is the ONLY company to go with if your looking for the best available. I have been wearing/using arcteryx for almost ten years now. They have a great product and stand behind it 100%. I bought this new jacket as with my advanced age, I find I'm getting chilly a bit easier. My original last jacket was damaged by some not so nice people and a gun. I called arcteryx and asked if I sent them the jacket that had the two bullet holes in the sleeves they could replace the sleeves. Instead of repairing an issue that was not all their fact (unless you count it not being made with being balistic fabric) they sent me a brand new jacket to replace the other one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from long fit, warm and high quality material I am planning to use it for ice climbing and maybe to Rainier but I am gonna wear it everyday too so I get compliments :) I am 5'9 140lb and size S fits me well if not slightly roomier. ,,,,This jacket is very warm and I love the longer fit which keeps cold air out. I have not owned a Gore-tex so I can't comment on that but at least water beads well on the outside. I don't like the sound coming from the material when you walk but I guess you don't wear it when you are on a stealth task, hehe. ,,,,I wish the string to tighten the hood can be designed more aesthetically coz it can extend 1 foot behind your neck and I am afraid it may get tangled to something.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultimate cold weather jacket! This jacket is the bomb for really cold days. If you hate shivering while your car warms up in the winter, this is for you. If you go on a ski trip and it's absolutley freezing, this is for you. If you don't like piling on multiple layers to stay warm this is the ticket. The jacket is durable and has reinforced fabric in all the right areas. ,,,,I found the fit to be on the bigger size compared to many other Arcteryx products and sized down. I am 6'2 200lbs and had to go with large. The extra large was huge and especially wide. You won't need much of anything under the jacket to keep warm so I don't want the jacket to fit so loose. ,,,,Ultimate cold weather jacket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So great I convinced my wife to buy one too! Living in Duluth MN, I have spent many hours outside in temperatures below 10-15F (primarily downhill skiing). This jacket is crazy warm! I used to wear a half-dozen or more layers, and now I can often wear just a T-shirt under this jacket -- so much more comfortable! And somehow it doesn't seem like it gets too hot either. On really cold days I add a thin fleece pullover underneath with good results. Excellent jacket! ,,,,Also, it's a little bulky but I am able to wear it to work or the grocery store when things get really cold up here. It seems the new versions of this jacket (fall 2012 and newer) are somewhat lighter and might be better suited to around-town use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply the Best - Ultimately an Excellent Value This jacket is amazing! It's warm, light weight, waterproof, functional, and attractive. The cut feels as though it was custom made for me. I am 5'-10" and 195 lbs and cannot imagine a better fit. While it was obviously designed to provide the durability and range of motion required for mountaineering, the same requirements also make it an excellent choice for everyday use. I move about effortlessly in this jacket, so anything from loading skis into a roof box, bending over to buckle a boot, or the simple act of driving are made easier. Yes the Fission SV costs a lot, but it's performance is second to none. Besides, my wife says I look sexy in it. Enough said.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Jacket is TOP QUALITY, WATERPROOF, WINDPROOF, LIGHT, and VERY WARM. First let me say that MOOSEJAW has the best CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever experienced. They even have a sense of humor that is refreshing in this day and age.,,,,The FISSION SV in XXL was perfect for me,(6'2", 230 lbs)especially under the arms where there is still room for layering, although I dont think I will need additional warmth very often. I go camping a lot in Colorado and this is just what I was looking for. Tried several other brands and was disappointed.,,,,I highly recommend this jacket but only if you buy it from MOOSEJAW who will go to great lengths to make you happy. Although it is expensive, my last winter jacket lasted me 16 years and you get what you pay for!!!
