"A great vest for a non-vest kind of guy."

I will be the first one to admit I am typically not a fan of vests, but in certain actvities in winter, they do work well. The Covert from Arc'teryx is a winner if you want to forget your sleeves. Fits well across the shoulders, the neck collar does not try to reach to the top of your neck, and fits snugly to the waist. Breathes well to dissipate moisture yet still remain toasty warm. If only they would come out with a version with sleeves, they would have a true winne........ oh wait, they do. Damn you, Arc'teryx and your clever ways!
I just received this as a gift, and absolutely love it. It fits well (well...it fits ME well), and the fabric looks and feels almost like a high-end wool (think SmartWool, Icebreaker, etc). It is incredibly warm, but not too much, and yet still looks good enough to wear on the street. Can't say enough good things about the Covert Vest!
So I suffer from a relatively lean core with a long torso, wide shoulders, long arms, which makes buying modern fitting winter clothes nearly impossible. The small fits pretty nicely and tight (not too tight of course) to my ~38" chest, and doesn't do too bad a job hugging my waist (~30"). It is a bit long as others pointed out, which works well for me but may not for you. The construction of the vest is very good, the 3 zippers work very smoothly, which is something that I've always liked about Arc'teryx products. One downer - made in china
turn heads for the outdoor ladies.....great fit and very versatile. wear it to work or and the side of a mountain. fits extremely well and like all artceryx stuff just feels and looks awesome
Since I first bought a pair of Arcteryx ski pants when the Company first started, I have never experienced a disappointing product from Arcteryx. This covert vest is no exception -thin, warm, and super stylish. I was taking out the garbage in NYC 10-degree weather (if you know Eastcoast U.S. cold, then you'll understand that that is really freakin cold) and only had on a t-shirt and the Arcteryx covert vest. I was shocked that it actually kept me surprisingly warm (not a replacement parka). Just another awesome product from Arcteryx! You'll pay more for Arcteryx products, but the technologies and craftsmanship of Arcteryx makes every penny worth it. Bravo again Arcteryx!
