The season we've all been waiting for.... the first line of Arc'teryx down jackets. I didn't think it was possible, but I'm looking forward to the Arc'teryx clinic more than ever before. The Arcteryx Men's Cerium LT Hoody utilizes a mixture of strategically mapped 850 fill down and Coreloft™ synthetic insulation. The synthetic insulation is placed in areas that are prone to moisture (hem, collar, sleeves and underarms), and the down is stuffed everywhere else to keep your core warm while allowing the Cerium LT to be light and compressible. If you need a little extra warmth or protection just put on the hood to keep that noggin of yours warm. With this insulating mid-layer, it's like you're wearing years and years of research and progress.

First thing I noticed when I received this jacket was that it was incredibly light weight and I thought there would be no way this would keep me warm (although I'm the type to wear a t-shirt in the winter). The fit is incredible! And despite my assumption you can feel yourself heat up within a few seconds. However, I never got too hot - the Cerium LT breaths really well. The hood fits perfect and is not as bulky as other down jackets. I ordered the medium and I am returning it for a large. I am 5'10" 175lbs. The medium fit comfortable but I want to be able to wear a baselayer and the witness hoody underneath with the Beta FL for Alpine climbing. This jacket is worth every penny. Stop thinking about it and do yourself a favor.
bought this november2013 before the winter started in the northeastern. it packs really small - about the size of 3 fists stacked together. so i think it's really good for travelling. i'm 176cm (5.77ft), 68kg (150lb), and i got the black colour with size S. it feels warm even in temperatures of -10°C (14 °F). i wore this over my work clothes, and under my marmot fleece and marmot windstopper (both size S). i love the hoodie because it keeps my ears nice and warm. my only gripe is that feathers do come out once in a while (like most down jackets do). also, not to sound derogatory, but i was kinda surprised that this arcteryx down was made in china. well, most things are now these days anyway. i have no complains since the construction is great and fits really well. though i think i could have find a cheaper alternative.
The Arc'teryx Cerium fills the gap between a zeus and a nano puff perfectly. Not too light, and not too bulky. Perfect for a fast and light set up under a shell. Perfect for around town. The best of all worlds, just as you would expect.
I just had a chance to test this out yesterday when it was 20 degrees and winds gusting to 50mph (NYC).Performed extremely well. I walked around town for about an hour running errands. Did not feel cold at all with this and a long sleeve shirt. When the wind slowed down at certian points, it was getting toasty enough to unzip the top. The hood adjustment was easy to use and kept the wind out of my head and ears.
This Arc'teryx Cerium LT Hoody is not your father's down jacket. Instead of outsized puffiness it uses smaller tubes and the highest quality of european goose down to yield a hooded down jacket that has the surprising ability to keep you neither too hot nor too cold. You just feel, well, comfortable. Like you should. Down to freezing you don't need to wear anything under this to stay warm. If you are active walking or running you could wear this at much colder temperatures. It has some breathability built in - a great feature. It fits someone who isn;t fat reasonably well (I'm slim, medium and 5' 11") but not tight. The body is moderately long, past your pants pocket opening - keeps your junk warm. Pockets are insulated, too, and well placed so you can do without gloves if necessary. What I like about the hood is that it ISN'T made for use with a helmet. It fits your bare head well (or over a baseball cap) and keeps the ears warm.Gripe: the zipper is surely the SMALLEST I have ev
