| This backpack is amazing. It has lots of space and the comfort while carrying is great. This pack can take a lot of weight and it doesnt feel heavy at all. | |

"A classic that is still hard to beat" |
05/22/09 |
| This pack is a classic backpacker's pack. It is very adjustable and has a ton of compression straps to cinch that weight down tight. I bought this for 4-5 day treks but it has plenty of room for a 7-9 day trip (who needs to change clothes anyway). It fits my 2 person cooking set, sleeping pad/bag, water bladder, stove, and tent, accessories and still has a few pockets to cram stuff into on the outside. It sits well on my back (I bought a Tall and am ~6'2") and really doesn't cause me to have a sore back for the couple of trips I have been on with it. | |

"Awesome Pack. Very Stable, Carries Heavy Loads Well." |
05/14/09 |
| Awesome Product. Used this in the Adorandacks, loaded up with 65 pounds of gear. Was able to climb very steep rock faces without worry of the pack rolling on my back. When I got used to the wieght I was practically jogging when decending off the mountain. The support system is extremely comfortable, with alot of padding. Many times I slid the pack across rock faces and it showed almost no wear at all. Great in the rain as well, sheds pretty well, yet need a cover for heavy sustained rains. Overall, if you have the money, its a pack that can be used for just about any trip requiring big loads, comfortably. | |

"This is the equivalent of a bomb-proof black hole straped to your back" |
04/07/09 |
| I dare you to find something wrong with this bag... ok well aside from the fact that it doesn't have a lot of pockets to organize things. I recently spent 9 days camping and fishing in weather ranging from -5 and sleet/snowing to 85 and sunny. I could fit all my cold weather gear in it with extra clothes to boot, toss it in the boat to ferry across the lake and nothing got wet. Even with full winter gear weight it rode nice on my back, although I did need a bit of help getting it up there. All in all if you need a week plus pack, you won't be sorry if you go with the Bora 80 | |

"This pack is a bombproof work horse!" |
03/30/09 |
| I have had the Bora 80 for over six years now; it has never failed to deliver on any of my trips. The interior storage space in the pack is huge and seemingly impossible to fill. The detachable pack lid has served as a useful day bag on several occasions. The hip belt and shoulder straps are both comfortable and strong. Although I have taken this bag backpacking in Australia and Korea, worn it on countless hiking trips, and mountain climbing in freezing weather, it shows very little signs of wear and promises years of continued service. This pack, in my mind, is by far my most dependable piece of gear. | |

"Once you go Arc'Teryx, you never go back..." |
03/25/09 |
| The absolute best multi-day pack I've ever used! Yeah, you pay a little more on the front end, but I don't plan on having to get a new pack anytime soon so I don't lose any sleep at night. Recently carried around 50 lbs a day with no problems after I properly adjusted it. Huge main compartment, and the side zipper is a nice feature. My only complaint is that the water bottle holders on the side are super tight for Nalgenes...but if that's my only complaint, I'll stop complaining now. I love it and wouldn't recommend anything else! | |

"Probably the best made and best designed pack out there" |
03/15/09 |
| I have had this pack for about a year now. I have used it on a number of excursions, but really put it through the paces during my research expedition last summer in Alaska. I used the pack everyday to haul my research gear to and from sites. Bottom line, it was awesome. Very comfortable even with heavy loads and while hiking through uneven terrain and bogs. A no brainer if you need a large pack. | |

"So much space" |
11/10/08 |
| Just took this pack on its maiden voyage and it worked beautifully. The pack has tons of space and is ultra comfortable. The outside zippered pocket is great for carrying a water bladder and your nice camp chair kit. This pack gets the job done well! The only downside is there is so much room that you will end up carrying everyone else's stuff that doesn't fit in their packs =) | |

"A great, comfortable, streamlined pack" |
10/21/08 |
| This is definitely more streamlined than your typical 80L pack. You won't find tons of unnecessary outer pockets and random loops, which keeps everything simple. Very comfortable pads and easily adjustible suspension. It should be noted that, contrary to what some other reviews say, this is indeed hydration compatible. If you look on the underside of the removable top, you'll see a zipper pocket. Inside you can put the bladder, and along one corner is a velcro'd exit port for the tube. I really like this approach, as it lets you take the bladder with you when you use the top for day hikes (the top has it's own straps so you can sling or buckle it around your waist comfortably). | |
