"it won't hold your weather in and it holds the weather out."  08/12/10

Needed a climbing shell that was stuffable, lightweight, weather tight with good heat management goodies like: pit zips, fold and zip helmet hood, sturdy velcro wrist adjusters and shock cord adjustments in the right places. Just climbed the Swiss Arete. The Beta LT along with layers is Bomber. It stops the wind and balances your heat with that crazy three layer material that I swear, wouldn't tear even when drug brutally over sharp stone. I recommend this jacket

"100% waterproof, comfortable, made top shelf."  04/13/10

While sailing across oceans, in extremely wet weather, I wear this under my Musto Gill HL Foul weather gear for complete comfort. Bring it on. The best made stuff.

"Rock solid shell!"  03/25/10

So far I've used this shell for backpacking, skiing, hiking, and 3-season mountaineering. For those who might have concerns about the LT (light weight fabric), I had similar concerns, but this shell has proved itself to be extremely tough. I've done a ton of alpine skiing, and I've had my share of collisions with trees. Although clearly not as tough (or thick) as Arc'teryx's SV models, the fabric has stood up to over a year of nearly constant abuse. One thing to keep in mind: the Beta cut is significantly shorter than the alpha or theta models. Those may be better suited for skiing, as they are better for keeping the power out. Try one on to see if you like the fit.

"The Arc'teryx Beta LT is an anomaly. It's super lightweight, but also, durable and breathable."  02/15/10

The Arc'teryx Beta LT is an anomaly. It's super lightweight, but also, durable and breathable. I stuff this in the bottom of my pack on almost every trip I take because it rolls down to the size of a sub sandwich, but fights off foul conditions and abrasion. It's got a cool piece of foam in the bottom hem, that works with the underarm gussets, to keep the jacket from riding up while climbing. It's the size and weight of a throw-away rain jacket, but I'll have it for years. And, the fit is spot on with tiny seams, welded pit-zips, and a smooth sliding front watertight zipper.

"beta LT,light weight,attractive color,simplicity,proshell,awesome jacket"  02/15/10

I have owned this Jacket since it came out a couple of years ago. The thing I like best is of course its weight. It packs very small. The hood seems perfect with or without a helmet. I really like the material of goretex pro they use. Not as stiff or crunchy as some of the heavier proshells. The jacket has held up great so far. There is plenty of room for adding extra layers, yet it fits perfect with just a t shirt underneath. The collar height is ideal..The beta LT is a great four season shell. You get bomber protection in super lightweight package. Highly recommend.

"Another great product from arcteryx"  02/04/10

This jacket features many subtle but useful details. The front pockets can hold a lot of gear, the hood doesn't get in your way, and a great slim fit overall. This jacket could be a little longer, however it is labeled as waist length, so this is to be expected.

"Yes, I would recommend this to a friend"  11/07/09

The weight and protection offered for users in the southern states is appreciated when the weather turns from a mild autumn day to a raging cold front with horizontal rain and rapidly falling temperatures.
