To be honest, really didn't know what I was looking for in ski pants going into the buying process, but have had good experiences with Arc'teryx products in the past, so decided to give the Beta AR Pant a shot. Very light weight yet durable with plenty of room for maneuvering when shredding gnar. Highly recommend.
Good durability, wore for a week snowboarding, snowshoeing, etc. Didn't rip, tear, and still good brand new.Got drunk in them, waterproof doesn't mean piss can't get out of the side zips.
these baby's are amazing, the zipper works flawlessly, the reenforced cuffs haven't worn at all after many day's on trail. my one beef with them is the snow guard things that connect to your boots, there a pain, I don't do much activity in deep powder, I use these more for monsoon weather, and the elastic and velco can be annoying, I may end up just cutting it off.
I looked at several different manufacturers and styles of shells before buying these pants. In the end, I took a chance and bought these despite the price tag. I am glad I did. They fit perfect, plus they have an indestructible fabric on the inner ankle and a built in gator that attaches to your boots like a pair of waders.
I am 6.1 32 inseem 215 pounds and i have a pair of XL regular. they are a bit baggy and a tad long. I'd say overall the fit is comfortable for me. roomy enough. These are just like the bibs without the extra material. I honestly wear the bibs more. Like the bibs these have gaiters but lack the almost full length zipper. good enough to vent. They have big pockets as well where the bibs do not. Overall a great product and a nice alternative to the full bib. dry and warm as always. Enjoy! As a disclaimer, I am affiliated with Gore for product testing of Gore-tex products for the purpose of product review and recommendation. I do receive items from Gore for these purposes.
Like all Arc Teryx products, this one is tough as nails. Reinforcement where needed but still light weight enough to take with you on hikes. The side zippers are great to vent off a little extra heat. If needed, there is room underneath for some extra layers for warmth.Overall a great pair of pants to take when hiking in the wind or when weather is threatening. As a disclaimer, I am affiliated with Gore for product testing of Gore-tex and Windstopper garments for the purpose of product review and recommendation. There is no doubt that this is an expensive piece of outerwear, but Arc'Teryx makes such great gear that there was no doubt in my mind these were worth every penny. They're lightweight, tough, and won't let a drop of water through. Spent a day hiking in 2-3 feet of snow and brush and these shrugged of the conditions easily. Looking forward to getting them on the slopes.
"Fantastic pants! Great for hiking and traveling in both warm & cold weather."

I've been using them in all my most recent trips to several and different environments: tropical forest, moor, and cloud forest, among others in my home country: Colombia. Love the big pockets and the materials: good quality, durable, breathable, convertible. I got two of them (Beige & Grey). I highly recommend them.
Got my girlfriend and I lost on an old crumbling granite mountain in the Wichita Mountain National Wildlife Refuge resulting in a grueling four mile bushwhack/boulder crawl in forty-five degree pouring rain. On several occasions the boulders were too steep to walk across, so we slid down them on our asses. To my astonishment, even after pushing through the scratchy post oak and conifer thickets and sliding across super rough granite slabs, the pants (as well as our Arcteryx jackets) were completely unscathed, and kept us completely dry. Even more amazing is the fact that my girlfriend didn't dump me after we made our way back to the trail.
