Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.

Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.

Hip - Measure around your hips at the widest part.

Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent position, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.

Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.

Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.

Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.

Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.

• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome shell, I love staying dry! I may or may not have spent too much money on this shell, but every penny was well worth it. The front pockets are deep, but they are just kind of ok, they will be great for when I am backpacking. Based on the way it acts when I am working up a sweat while shoveling and buildings igloo's, it is going to do me just fine in the backcountry! I bought the same jacket from a lesser distributor that was made in China, returned it for a better price here at moosejaw and I was pleasantly surprised to see the one they sent me was made here in North America (Canada), and actually fits a little better in the waist then the other one I sent back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Jacket Delivers! Kick Butt, light weight, tough, Bullet Proof!! Favorite of all time!! This outstanding gore tex Jacket has delivered the goods and kept me warm and dry. Use an under layer with it when it is extra cold. The hood works very well and fits over my large cranium and helmet well. I have fallen on hard pack/ice and busted through the trees (finally there is some powder!) and this jacket is tough. The zippers, pit zips and cuff closures are bomb proof as well and function well in nasty wet conditions. I ride the Lichen color and it is smokin. The good news is that the extra money is so worth it and this is my favorite shell of all time. I have been skiing since I was 4 years old and I am 45 now. Enjoy this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A can't miss jacket I'm in a program that allows me to test goretex products. I do not get paid but i do get to keep the product sometime. So, i have a lot of jackets. ,,,,Of all those jackets, this is the one i use the most. First thing you will notice is the weight, as in where is it. Its a incredible light with no forced movement. There's plenty of room to layer up for the cold days on the lift. Since i'm usually in the backcountry i layer with a light or mid weight thermal (depending on temps). Since its Goretex if anything goes wrong its guaranteed, for life. I'm a skinny tall kid 6'4 so an XL is for me. Just a great jacket,,ScottRad out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome! this is the jacket i reach for when the weather is rough and i'm running out the door. It's light and built right. i am 6.1 215 pounds and i have a large. the cut seems to be a bit slimmer than other brands but i can still layer a little. I feel the fit is perfect for me. length is perfect. If you like a longer jacket, they have other models that can accommodate. This jackets been hit by trees and bounced off rocks and it's still in one piece. Still waterproof. Enjoy! As a disclaimer, I am affiliated with Gore for product testing of Gore-tex products for the purpose of product review and recommendation. I do receive items from Gore for these purposes.,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from if it ever rained in heaven then god would wear this jacket i am lucky enough to be able to field test the occasional Gore product and received this jacket (and others) for that purpose. So I have experience with rain gear- and this is honestly the best quality and most reliable jacket that I have ever seen. Super light weight and without a doubt waterproof, and yet this jacket is bombproof durable. ArcTyrex makes phenomenal gear anyway, but this jacket is- IMHO- perfect. The hood fits perfectly over your helmet. The size is true. The pockets are deep enough to carry gear. The material is lightweight and still incredibly durable. This is the jacket you want to rely on at elevation when the weather turns on you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive, but totally worth it! I'm the first to admit that Arcteryx isn't cheap - but that's because it isn't cheap! High quality, built to last a lifetime, does what it's intended to do. This is my fourth Arcteryx jacket ( one doesn't fit anymore since I lost weight and the other three are still very much in use), and as long as I can afford it, I'll be a customer for life. When you're 20miles from anything in the wilderness and mother nature decides to get funky, you need to know that you can rely on your gear. This jacket fits the bill - and the medium fits my 5' 10", 176lb frame great with room for layering underneath! Stop thinking about it and just buy it - you won't regret it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great All Around Jacket This jacket never leaves my pack in the fall, winter and spring. It is a little too heavy for summer so my Beta SL goes with me instead. ,,,,It has served me well for everything from backpacking to backcountry skiing. The outer fabric is extremely tough yet it still breaths well. The three pockets are the perfect amount without adding too much weight.,,,,I am 5'11" and 180lbs and a large provides room for a softshell underneath in the winter without being to large without.,,,,As a disclaimer, I am affiliated with Gore for product testing of Gore-tex products for the purpose of product review and recommendation. I do receive items from Gore for these purposes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You=Dry At the $400+ range, this jacket is a little steep at first glance. This jacket is made in Canada and Considering the Arc'teryx build quality/ warranty, $400 is a deal if you think of it as the last jacket you'll have to buy. I'm 5'10, 160 lbs. A Medium is a little big, but leaves rooms for layers underneath. This jacket turns all the heads on campus. But looks are surpassed by function. This thing out-performed my Dad's high priced foul weather gear during a tropical storm. As an engineer, the detail of the seams and construction of this thing is impressive. Got a little extra cash? Spring for it. You will not regret it.
