ARC'TERYX MEASUREMENT and FIT GUIDE

HOW to MEASURE:

Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.

Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.

Hip - Measure around your hips at the widest part.

Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent postion, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.

Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.

Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.

Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.

Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.

• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

FIT TYPE INFO and DETAILS:

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfortable, Lightweight, Side Panels arent insulated This vest is ok. Its a bit expensive for what it has. It is very lightly insulated, and the fit is a little more loose then most other arc'teryx stuff. It works great as an insulating layer, but not so good without anything over the top. The side panels on this vest are made of a stretchy material instead of being insulated which makes the fit a bit more flexible for layering, but if you are wearing this over a baselayer with nothing over the top and its windy, you will feel it. I would have like to see them continue the insulation all the way around, but all in all, this is a very light, packable, low bulk layering piece. It can be worn on cooler, non-windy days on the outside.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs large Depending on your preference, this vest may run large. I prefer my running clothes to fit fairly close, but at 6'1", 195 lbs, 42" chest and an athletic build, I found the vest to be pretty baggy. I am happy with it, but I would have preferred a more steamlined cut. The build quality is superb and the breathability of the sides and the wind protection up front make for a well designed running companion. I gave it four out of five because the Face material isn't "bound" to the insulating material. I don't know if this is a design element to aid in wicking moisture, but is a bit annoying. I don't think anyone will regret this purchase, just understand that it is not an insulated softshell vest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing piece to add to your layering arsenal Verdict: Incredibly versatile vest. Sorry for the alliteration, I really regret it. But this is an awesome vest. The Atom LT does its job to perfection, as with almost every other Arc'teryx product I've purchased. The synthetic core loft is amazing. Very light weight, very condensible and above all...warm.,,,,I love the athletic fit; its slim and form fitting, and all around just looks badass out on the town or on the slopes. I'm 6'5" and pretty thin, and I thought the Large was a little too tight and short, while the XL is the right length and little roomy. I ultimately chose to stick with the XL because the L definitely didn't fit right for me.,,,,The Vest is built to last and is more than worth the Arc'teryx premium cost. I'm sure I'll still be wearing this vest years down the road.,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great product by Arcteryx So far I've had this vest for a month and I wear it all the time here in Alaska. We've had plenty of below zero weather, and I wear this as a mid-layer with an uninsulated softshell jacket over and I stay warm. It has an athletic fit and is very comfortable. I've been doing a lot of snowshoeing and Cross Country skiing with it, and I'm working up a sweat, but it's very breathable, and it doesn't smell. Very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet Vest - Chicks Love it I wear this vest all the time on my walk to work to stay nice and toasty. It's also in my pack when I'm the only person around for 20 miles. The side panel is a stretchy material which helps when you're climbing compared to other vests which can restrict your movement. I light weight choice and great mid layer in the cold, or outer layer when it's not too burley out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket Love this vest. I have had it for 1.5 years now and it is apparent to me that it will last for another few years. ,,,,I have worn it in 30-40F temperatures with just a hardshell on top and it has kept my core very warm. ,,,,The stretchy material on the side is a nice touch. A nice arc'teryx piece worth the expense.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great vest if you can find it on discount. Love the vest, hate the price. $150 for a vest? Come on! That being said, it's a piece of gear I find taking with me quite often. Really high quality and perfect for layering. The side panels vent heat well, the zipper (wish it would lock at times..tends to pull down near the neck if layered over too many things) runs smoothly, and the weight vs the insulation power is really amazing. This might sound ridiculous but one thing I really love about this vest is that the main body panels shed pet hair really well. I know, I know, pet hair? We're reviewing a high end piece of gear. Well, my dogs have been with me on a ton of my back-country adventures and this and the Atom LT jacket are the two pieces that don't look like an angora sweater when I'm gathering more food supplies at the local grocery store mid way through a two week long backcountry adventure, ha! It sheds water and pet hair equally well. Top it off, it packs down super small. Pricey but...I do use it all the time.
