Depending on your preference, this vest may run large. I prefer my running clothes to fit fairly close, but at 6'1", 195 lbs, 42" chest and an athletic build, I found the vest to be pretty baggy. I am happy with it, but I would have preferred a more steamlined cut. The build quality is superb and the breathability of the sides and the wind protection up front make for a well designed running companion. I gave it four out of five because the Face material isn't "bound" to the insulating material. I don't know if this is a design element to aid in wicking moisture, but is a bit annoying. I don't think anyone will regret this purchase, just understand that it is not an insulated softshell vest.
I wear this vest all the time on my walk to work to stay nice and toasty. It's also in my pack when I'm the only person around for 20 miles. The side panel is a stretchy material which helps when you're climbing compared to other vests which can restrict your movement. I light weight choice and great mid layer in the cold, or outer layer when it's not too burley out.
"Comfortable, Lightweight, Side Panels arent insulated"

This vest is ok. Its a bit expensive for what it has. It is very lightly insulated, and the fit is a little more loose then most other arc'teryx stuff. It works great as an insulating layer, but not so good without anything over the top. The side panels on this vest are made of a stretchy material instead of being insulated which makes the fit a bit more flexible for layering, but if you are wearing this over a baselayer with nothing over the top and its windy, you will feel it. I would have like to see them continue the insulation all the way around, but all in all, this is a very light, packable, low bulk layering piece. It can be worn on cooler, non-windy days on the outside.
So far I've had this vest for a month and I wear it all the time here in Alaska. We've had plenty of below zero weather, and I wear this as a mid-layer with an uninsulated softshell jacket over and I stay warm. It has an athletic fit and is very comfortable. I've been doing a lot of snowshoeing and Cross Country skiing with it, and I'm working up a sweat, but it's very breathable, and it doesn't smell. Very happy with it.
