The Atom LT is packed with CoreLoft synthetic insulation, that boosts warmth and dries quickly in the event it gets wet. Tinthan fabric protects the insulation from the outer elements, a 100% nylon material that is lightweight and abrasion resistant. The durable water repellent coating on the outside helps deter water from soaking in. The side panels are Polartec Power Stretch for movement and breathability during aerobic activities. At 11.1 ounces, it packs down small and won't weigh your backpack down, so you're always ready for unexpected cold weather.

Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.

Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.

Hip - Measure around your hips at the widest part.

Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent position, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.

Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.

Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.

Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.

Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.

• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get it NOW, You won't regret it! I bought the Atom to wear underneath my Arcteryx Theta AR jacket - and that's a perfect combination for cold, wet, and windy environments. So far, I've used the Atom for hiking, biking, and sailing. It's incredibly lightweight, very breathable, and keeps you warm. I am cycling about 5000 miles per year and tried out lots of brands. In most gear, you start to sweat a lot after a while, but Arcteryx is ahead of the crowd in regards to breathability. The Atom is my single shell in dry snow as well, it's perfect, you don't need more. Light rain and snow are fine, but I wouldn't recommend heavy rain. Regular washing machine use was fine, the jacket kept the functionality. As it turns out, I ordered a second Atom jacket in black which I use for office and city stuff now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best mid-layer Jacket! This jacket is so light and compressible, and at the same time really nice and warm. This is because in part of the coreloft material it uses and the fact that it is windproof. The biggest seller for me on it though is the high collar. It keeps your sling, especially a 2 point sling, from cutting into your neck when manipulating your rifle. Awesome jacket, going strong since 2011... You can see my video review of it here: https://kitbadger.com/arcteryx-atom-lt/

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don’t be jealous. Get one yourself. I purchased the Atom LT to replace an older and heaver fleece jacket I used in my backpacking trips. I was just looking to lighten my backpack and was amazed on the weight, warmth and fit of the jacket. The first day I wore the Atom LT I was getting ready for a three day backpacking trip down into the Grand Canyon and the temperature on the South Rim was 27 degrees Fahrenheit with a few inches of snow. I was not expending snow nor the cold temperature. The jacket is a must buy for everyone. It will also make you rethink your clothing when it comes to backpacking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Toasty Jacket This is a really nice synthetic insulation jacket. It is warm and light weight. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fabric. It is a great alternative to the commonplace ripstop nylon every other jacket seems to have.,,,,Keep in mind this have a very trim fit, much trimmer than many other jackets. I'm almost always a medium on most brands (even a small with places like the Gap) but found the medium on this almost too small. I also tried a large but then the sleeves were too long. Bottom line, great jacket but make sure the fit works for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second Atom jacket purchase Bought the Atom hoodie last fall. Wore it a ton all winter during reasonable temps here in the upper midwest. Decided to get this jacket as a second layer to wear under a shell while skiing, replacing Patagonia R2 jackets that I have worn in that regard for years. Medium fits me perfect...5'10", 162 lbs. Light as a feather and still warm. Super comfortable. Not meant as a main outer layer for 0 degrees with 30 mph winds, but you will find many days for use. Yellowish color is cool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very versatile jacket I often find myself between a small and medium with most brands. I ordered a medium and found it to be just about perfect; so I would say it's about half a size smaller than typical. I can fit a fleece under it, but that's a bit tight. Down to 45 degrees F, it's pretty comfortable after a few minutes of activity. As the temps drop into the upper 30s, I needed a vest or fleece under it to be comfortable. I was surprised at how well it blocked the wind in these conditions. I expect as the winter progresses, I will use it as a mid-layer under a shell. It is surprisingly light and definitely packable for a trip or hike. My wife bought an Atom hoodie in medium (her normal size) and it fit very well alone but did not allow for a fleece or vest underneath, so she returned it for a large and is very happy with it, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best purchases There are two jackets I would recommend to anyone looking for a snythetic middle layer; the Atom LT and its big brother the Atom AR (for colder and less active wear). I wear this jacket almost everywhere; it is extremely comfortable. It warms up quickly with body heat. It is designed to be an active mid layer; any wind or breeze will chill you through the side panels. For how small and light this jacket is it packs increadible warmth. Definitley one of my favorites.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Believe the hype. Get one. I purchased the Atom LT as a mid layer to add some warmth to another jacket I have. Just by itself it is an excellent jacket. Extremely lightweight and warm. The material keeps out the wind as promised. The fit is just right and the cuffs are perfect allowing my hands in and out with zero problem. The only gripe is the collar as another reviewer mentioned. It can stick up a bit oddly but its definitely not a deal breaker. It is worth the money.
