Product Description Item No.   10251196

The Arc'teryx Men's Argus Jacket is a lightly insulated jacket for high output skiing, running, and hiking. The cold weather can chill to the bone, but when you're active, overheating can also be an issue. The Argus comes to the rescue with Polartec Alpha synthetic insulation, keeping you warm while allowing your body to breathe. The insulation can be found at the front and the shoulders, where the wind and cold comes at you first. Coupled with Lumin, a nylon face fabric, it helps deter wind and light rain. The backpanel and underarms use a different fabric, called Torrent, to provide ventilation and stretch. The Torrent fabric will also wick moisture away from your skin and dry quickly for comfort as you heat up. The thumbloops cover your hands and keep sleeves where you want them, while retracting when not in use. A total of four pockets, two hand with zippers for item security, and two stretch stash pockets at the back for hat and gloves so you can wear 'em or shed 'em as needed. Zip up the front and speed off onto the trail or road while reflective blazes at the back and sleeves provide visibility in low light.

FEATURES of the Arcteryx Men's Argus Jacket

ARC'TERYX MEASUREMENT and FIT GUIDE

HOW to MEASURE:

Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.

Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.

Hip - Measure around your hips at the widest part.

Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent position, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.

Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.

Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.

Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.

Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.

• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

FIT TYPE INFO and DETAILS:

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It breathes like it's got lungs of its own. Got the Argus with rewards points to run outside in the winter. I'm 6'3, 180, athletic build - size Large fits perfectly. Trim fit. Arm length is perfect. It's got a neat mix of textiles with a minimalist puffy front/shoulders/upper arms/upper back, and a more flat faced fleecy material elsewhere. Very very smooth interior feel and comfortable against your skin (though I wear with a tshirt underneath). I've run in weather in the 30's and this thing is surprisingly warm for how light it is. Better than that though is that it's designed to keep you at the right temp and you can sort of feel the thing breathing as you run. Weird but true. I would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great combination of warmth and breathability for Winter Runs and snow shoeing The insulation is in the right places for warmth (thought would like it if came down a bit more on the back) and non-insulated breathable fabric under arms and lower back does great job. Have worn it in high teens to low 30's (Fahrenheit) by adjusting base layer. Could go to low 40's with just t-shirt under neath. Back pockets are awesome for storage. find hard water bottle working better than soft flask, which tends to bounce out on occasion with snow shoeing.,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from warm jacket I moved from Texas to the NC mountains and last year didn't have enough warm clothes for winter running. Enter the Argus. I've with it three times and it definitely keeps me warm. I've run in three mid twenties with as base layer and was almost too hot. In terms with a long sleeve base was perfect. And finally I ran in 10 degrees and again the Argus shone. I highly recommend this jacket for winter running

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This jacket is just right Not too much, and not too little, for those times when you are going to turn up the heat by pushing a workout in the cold. In addition to solid quality and well-conceived features, the overall concept is to provide a breathable outer layer that keeps you warm when in low gear and won't overheat you when pushing yourself. And, it looks good, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic This was my first true running jacket purchase. It definitely does the job with respect to temperature regulation. I keep warm in just a t-shirt underneath without overheating either when the ambient temperature rises.
