Product Description Item No.   10219994

Oh boy oh boy, Arc'teryx jackets. Every product description writer's dream. All of them are so expertly built with such attention to detail that I will never be at a loss for words. The Men's Alpha LT Jacket is no exception. This hard shell is constructed of GORE-TEX® Pro Shell, a light, breathable and durable 3-layer material. Great on its own around the campfire or on belay (the HemLock feature will keep it in place while wearing a harness) the Alpha LT also makes an incredible outer layer in cold Winter conditions (pit-zips will prevent overheating). It has an anatomical shape that makes the whole thing fit like a glove. It's like a full-body glove.... perfect fit, full coverage, extreme protection.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent postion, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.

Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.

Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.

Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.

Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.

• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

FIT TYPE INFO and DETAILS:

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best jacket almost all weather This is a real gem of a jacket.I live in Calgary,Canada and this winter temperatures plummeted to -30F on many occasions. I went out running in -30C weather for about 5km, and wore this jacket under a merino woollen under layer and a mid layer and then this jacket. It was very lightweight, rustled a bit, but kept me warm and also stayed dry.I also used it in sleet/rainy weather with the merino under layer and the jacket alone, and again it was great. It has worked very well in the fall, winter and early spring.Highly recommend the jacket.Oh and it is very packable for travel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second Finest Technical Shell Ever Made! Two yaks and a trekker walk into a bar...I know its supposed to be about the Alpha Light Jacket but I couldn't resist and the trekker was wearing the Alpha Lt. Anyway, I once wrote a review of the Arcteryx Alpha SV that said among other things, "Finest Technical Shell ever made." The Arcteryx Alpha Lt is the second second finest technical shell ever made, second only to the Arcteryx Alpha SV. Great jackets. Just had to replace my Lt. Wouldn't go without it on fast and light treks, just as I wouldn't leave behind my Alpha SV in climbing or trekking in winter or at altitude in summer. By the way that was a great catalog you Mooosejaw folks sent out this fall, using Notable People in Detroit for models. Excellent bump for their businesses, for Moosejaw and Detroit! Nice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Researched the Ultimate Shell for 2 years...This is it! I researched the best shell that I could purchase and have it be functional day to day going to work in a professional environment, skiing, hiking, winter camping, shooting, and really anything else. I used to love North Face and have owned more of their jackets and shells than I can count I've been skiing since I was 2 years old and so grew up with every vacation being winter (I also went skiing every weekend). I am from Michigan and my family isn't the type that goes on a trip out west once a year and camping means going out for a week with the bare essentials. This Jacket is so high quality I love it. I have so much freedom of movement I can't believe it and the jacket is also very light. I think this is perfect for a normal day and when it gets cold I plan to pair it with the Atom LT and know it will be super warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An absolute fortress of a jacket. I can't say enough about this jacket. I wore this through a three month NOLS Patagonia expedition, in which we saw about 65 days of rain, bushwhacked through wet Lenga, and dealt with a few big storms up on a glacier. This jacket performed beautifully. It kept me dry (Pro-Shell is a minor miracle), stood up to a lot of abuse with only very minimal wear, and is super light for such protection. As a mountain jacket, it's great - the harness keeper really works, you can trust the pockets to keep your stuff dry, and the hood works great with or without a helmet. I wouldn't recommend it, however, as an "around town" jacket - I miss having normal hand warmer pockets, and it looks a little too techy for casual wear, in my opinion. That being said, this is the apex of lightweight mountain shells - breathable, waterproof, durable, and light. It really is worth the price.
