"Used Many Chalk bags before but this one is by far the best!"
I've used many chalkbags before and hadnt ever found any that i liked as well as this one. First off the size of the opening is perfect for a guy with medium hands. Second, the reinforced plastic opening is perfect for trad climbing and bouldering when you can easily slip your hand in the bag without trying to deal with getting it open. Last, the included bottle opener, this is the best for an after climb beer out on the mountain! By far the best bag yet!
This is a cute little addition to my climbing gear. Its large enough for my black diamond white gold chalk ball. I got it in the Thalo blue which matches with my harness. It is a little pricey but I couldn't resist getting it. If you have a little to splurge and you need a new chalk bag... why not treat yourself.
i dont really understand the negativity towards it. the sizing is fine for me, it fits plenty of chalk and my big hands seem to fit in just fine. I also havent had any problems with the closure of the bag.The key pocket is really nice to have, the material is super durable, and the colors you can get it in are great! What more can you really ask for?
was excited to my first "expensive" bag.. turned out not to be anything special. leaks loose chalk all over the place. instead of changing chalk, i'm changing bag. the external pocket is a gem though, i wish other bags would pick up the feature. my problems are due to preference. if you're good with solid chalk, this is a good bag for women or for men with smaller hands, the brim doesn't always hold open so it can be a bother to get in easily.
I really like a lot of things with this chalk bag. It seems the construction is better than most. The semi-stiff brim makes it easy to reach into. The key pocket is great. Attached belt is good. Bottle opener is priceless. But like another reviewer said, it doesn't quite cinch down all the way. I've moved to chalk blocks because of this, but I miss loose chalk. Chalk fiends need not apply; more conservative users will do just fine.
I mostly use this bag for bouldering, because the belt doesn't detach, and I don't like wearing a belt with a harness when I'm climbing. The lip dips down in the front, I thought this wouldn't be a problem, but I found out, that like others have said, when you're hanging upside down some chalk spills out. It doesn't bother me too much, because it happens maybe once every time I climb, but I can see how it might get annoying. The material seems pretty durable, same material as my other arc'teryx bag. Solid bag, gets the job done for the most part, looks like it'll last.
