"excellent pack for commuting" 10/06/08
I use a scooter to commute around town. Bought this pack as a replacement for my el-cheapo generic pack that was beginning to fall apart and risking the splattering my tablet PC on the blacktop at 40 mph. At first, I thought the arcteryx might be a little too small-but agree that by-in-large, if it doesn't fit, you don't need to carry it to work. I like the fact that with the handle you can tote it like a briefcase-but wish there was some way to fold the straps internally so they don't flop around. That being said, it is extremely comfortable, and I feel that my stuff is safe and secure. Very satisfied......
"Durable but a little too simplistic." 07/22/08
Durable, comfortable bag that is the perfect size for a small computer and a few files. I would've liked to have a few more organizable zippered pockets in the main pocket areas. Also, as someone else mentioned, a more cushioning in the computer compartment would've been nice. I'm not going to buy a sleeve for my computer but I am very careful about not throwing the bag around.
"It's better than the Blade 21 if you are looking for a notebook backpack" 06/27/08
I thought it would be better than the Blade 21 for a notebook less than 14. Though it is much thinner than Blade 21, the inner size is still as huge as it and again without a notebook pad. A little disappointed. Coz my notebook is only 12, the backpack size is too huge for it. But no matter what, it's better than 21 if you are looking for a notebook backpack.
"I highly recommend it" 12/13/06
It's better than I thought, i love it.
I can even take it to business meetings.
It's a very good mix of comfortability and good taste, it seems that they know what they're doing.
They're just like the guys at Moosejaw, they really know what they do. Thanks.
"so cool that my girlfriend has adopted it" 11/28/06
great pack for a laptop - looks sleek, fits plenty of paper and yet at the same time also things you wouldn't believe - a pair of running shoes and a squash racket if you try hard. too bad my girlfriend likes it as much as i do. should buy another one.
"Use it every day. It's great." 09/17/06
I just got a new laptop, so I figured I should get a new bag. I also take the bus to work. So I thought I'll get a slimmer bag. This fit the bill perfectly. Isn't too big, so I can't stuff it full of things I think I need but really don't, but roomy enough for my MacBook and charger, PSP, iPod, book and contact/glasses stuff. Slim enough that I can wear it on the bus without worrying too much about it hitting other people when I turn around. My only complaint, and I'm actually getting used to it, but the top of the shoulder straps are too close together for my taste. I think it'd be more comfortable if it they were wider apart. But again, I'm getting used to it.
"You'll like it!" 06/21/06
Cool Pack! If you gotta have something to carry a computer this pack is it. Pack straps make it easy to carry, but you can still get into the SIDE so you don't have to cave through the tunnels of hell to find stuff at the bottom. Makes it asier to find drinks and snacks while in class or meetings... Also, this pack is not soo crazily huge as lots of packs like it, but still has plenty of space for my 15" Mac, some books and papers and all my little stuff like pencils, phone, etc... What I want to know is why does it have a sternum strap?
