I come close to the size limit of the small/medium hat, but ordered it as I don't like a hat thats too big. It fits great, though a little tight at first. After having worn it for three straight days the tightness is gone and now its just a great fitting hat. Its also a lot more shallow than a standard baseball hat meaning you wont have an oversized bump atop your head when you wear it. Great hat.
I know it's just a hat, but as hats go, this one is a cut above the rest. The flex fit gives you an almost custom fit, much better than the usual one size fits all adjustable hats. Fits great under a hood and also helps cut down extra glare when wearing sunglasses. Plus, the Arcteryx archaeopteryx is just kind of cool. Always an added plus.
This hat annoyed me quite a bit at first. I felt like the elastic band was trying to strangle my head. But, I stayed with it because of the stylish good looks and either my head shrunk or the elastic stretched a bit so my melon can fit. Either way, it’s a good looking hat that will tell anyone who has an eye for these things that the person wearing the hat is a man (or woman) of great taste and of moderate wealth (it’s expensive).
I've got it in blue & I'm buying this one in lack. Nice hat without a logo screaming Arc'teryx!Fits well, not too Elmer Fudd big like a lot of hats nowadays.
I really like this hat. Fits perfect, looks cool. Seriously, there is not a better fitting hat that I've tried on.I would highly recommend upgrading to the wool version if you have the extra little bit of money!

Just received the blue color, and while the construction and everything else on the cap is great, the color of the logo on the blue cap is kind of misrepresented in the Moosejaw product photo. It looks grey in the photo, but in person it is actually the same blue color as the hat, and therefore nearly impossible to see. No contrast makes it look more like a solid blue hat.
This cap is great. I ordered the brown one and wore it in Afghanistan for 5 months and still wear it today. I ordered the black one though (same size) and it was a bit smaller. I recommend buying this cap as it fits nicely and conforms to the shape of your head.
These hats are great! The Flexfit is perfect for my noggin and the front panels don't stick way up like some hats do. Nice and low profile. The logo is understated as well, which I like. 100% WIN.
