"Great pack, but the strap seams let go after awhile" 03/01/12
I love this daypack, I use it mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding etc. It's weak link though is the seams on the shoulder straps after awhile start to let go. I've had two of them now and both have been back to Arcteryx once for new straps and the first one is in need of repair again. Now I use the pack a lot, and it's my favorite daypack I've found so far, so it's well worth the shipping cost to have them repaired. I was however disappointed to see that while Arcteryx was more than willing to repair it at no cost, they have not updated the straps to fix the issue, so it's still a reoccurring problem after extended use.
"Great backpack, period." 10/21/11
Pros: Durability, Weatherproofing, Customer Service, LooksCons: Price maybe?I'm 5' 9" 170lbs and this bag fits perfectly on my back without being too large or unwieldy fully laden.I've had this bag for 2 years and it's still in top condition. I've used it as a daypack for hiking, snowbag for skiing trips, and for school and everything else in between. For reference, this can fit a 15" MBP with two to three large legal textbooks in the main compartment.Everything has held up from normal use minus the varnish on the heavy duty zips as the brass shows through now, it's kinda cool if you ask me.
"Great design, but not ideal for laptop" 03/30/10
While it's beautiful (usual for Arc'teryx), I'm having a hard time with the 'fits a 15" laptop' claim as it implies it's designed to carry said laptop. Here's where you may/may not agree with me: yes, it fits a 15" laptop. It can also fit a couple loaves of bread & this is equally as apt a feature bullet point because a laptop would just knock around unsecured inside. I argue that if your marketing copy boasts 'fits a 15" laptop', there must be a pocket within the bag designed to both pad & secure it - as a bag purported to be used for carrying a laptop should not, on it's own, offer the high likelihood of damaging it just because the bag was set down a smidge too hard on a cement floor.
"I own a lot of Arc'teryx gear and this is one of my favs." 12/02/09
I sometimes use this for very short hikes, but I mostly do use it as an "urban pack". The build quality is just amazing (like all other Arc'teryx)... Every detail of construction is fantastic - the pack almost seems bullet proof.Looks cool too (especially the water-proof zippers on a small pack like this)

I am a real arc'teryx fan. i have it all! so its not a surprise to me that this pack is AMAZING! its just the perfect size for everything i need. The only place it lacks is their is no organizer in the front pocket so things can get a bit cluttered at the bottom, no biggie.
