Built like a tankThis backpack is tough but heavier than a backpack of similar size. The shoulder strap uses a system that allows some adjustments to fit users of different height and shoulder width. I find this allows for closer and more comfortable fit compare to traditional backpacks. This backpack highly water resistant, but the zipper doesn't comes with the zipper garages found in many Arcteryx's jackets.,,,,The fabrics is very thick and the backpack design prevents it from being compressed. It holds its shape well even when under-packed but that also means all the weight will be right at the bottom of the pack. Definitely carries more than 40 liters.

If you need a comfortable, durable, waterproof pack - this is it!I normally expect a lot from Arc'Teryx, but this pack has surpassed my expectations. This pack is engineered and constructed better than any pack I have personally seen/used. Feels (and looks) awesome when packed full. It feels like it is meant to be on my back, and the suspension adjustments allow you to fine tune it even more.,,The ACT fabric seems to be extremely durable and looks like it will outlast my own body. I haven't had this very long so my "field testing" has been minimal, but I'm looking forward to giving it some good testing in the coming weeks.,,Oh, and like all other Arc'Teryx gear - the looks match the functionality.,,It's made in Canada.

Bombproof weekend pack with superior comfort and featuresThis pack is the best I have ever seen in many ways.,,,,1) The material is very thick, durable, and truly waterproof. The adhesive sealing is flawless.,,,,2) It's the first bag with the "perfect" layout--large main compartment with pole retainer, outer gear compartment with full length side access zipper, and top compartment with a smaller pocket inside and key keeper (all 3 are separate from each other). Highly efficient, practical, with no unnecessary extras.,,,,3) Unbeatable features--roll-top closure, adjustable shoulder positioning, hip belt sway articulation, strap system capable of carrying very large items, even a snowboard.,,,,I had very high expectations and it has surpassed them.

Beautiful smaller pack for alpine and skiing.Lime is a great color (if they have it). I own other Arrakis and love them all! This has lighter weight belt than other sizes. Get it if you can.
