The Arc’teryx Aperture Chalk Bag is a chalk bag for the climber constantly on the go. This bag has a new twisty move to keep chalk inside, instead of all over the other gear inside of your pack. If you’re climbing at the gym one day or heading outdoors the next, the Aperture not only locks in the chalk, but shrinks in volume. A snap closure secures it from popping open. When climbing, attach the bag to you via the webbing waist belt or use a carabiner to hook it to your belt loop or harness. The reinforced rim will keep it open on the wall and the fleece lining inside is soft against tired hands.
FEATURES of the Arcteryx Aperture Chalk Bag
Aperture Twist with a snap closure seals tight, reducing chalk loss during transportation
Reinforced rim keeps bag open and chalk easily accessible
Injection molded belt attachment/slider doubles as a bottle opener

Best Chalk Bag I've UsedWow....this chalk bag is great. It's so easy to open (especially one handed if you forget to open it until you're climbing). Some have complained about the amount of chalk it holds, but in my experience, it holds plenty. I use a chalk ball with some loose chalk. If I had to find one negative aspect to this bag, it would be that the belt isn't removable/optional without some small modifications, but that's expected from any Arc'teryx chalk bag. All in all, I'm stoked that my backpack won't be covered in chalk on the inside anymore. The first legitimate leak-proof chalk bag that I've come across! Cheers!

The chalk actually stays in the bag!Seriously, no more chalk all over my bag from loose closures. The twist to close method is the most secure and yet also one of the simplest methods I have used. It is also light and when closed is super small. It would be really hard to improve on this. I find the large is a great all purpose size, especially if you don't have really small hands and expect enough chalk for more than a climb or two. Only downfall is that removing the belt requires it being cut out.

Best chalk bag I've usedThis chalk bag has a lot going for it. It has a wide opening that always stays open, is easy to open with one hand, packs down to a small size, and keeps chalk from leaking out of the bag when properly closed. It's a cool design that's totally functional, everything I've come to expect from Arc'teryx.

The Next DesignDraw strings must've been great on the first chalk bags, but the twist closure design on this bag is the future, it's more simplistic, less prone to breakage and easier to break into when you just NEED to slam your paws in your chalk bag and hop on some rock (or plastic) ASAP.

Finally, a clean gear bag!Drawstring chalkbags are a joke. Lets be real. Once the the drawstring gets chalky, it never closes tight again. This chalkbag closes all the way every time. And that nice retaining ring means I can always get into the chalk when I need to.

Buy the C80 you will be happier...tech is not always better!I made my choice based on reviews, my mistake. This is too much work, my next one will be easier to use. This company, Arcteryx makes bomber equipment the Aperture just slipped through the cracks. Buy the C80, you'll be glad you did.
