"A Must Have!!" 01/16/10
For those of you that don't own one of these, you NEED to buy one! Or two I guess. If not for the funsies that comes with owning a whistle then definitely for the surprise that comes with it. You gotta buy one to see what I'm talkin about, just sayin!

This whistle is sharp! People can here me from just about anywhere I am and I can shoot it at just about anyone. Wish they had more colors but black goes with every outfit. A must have if you are looking for a whistle with a pea.

Wow, this thing totally rocked my world! Actually, it rocked its own world, back and forth, back and forth, squeaking on my pack's shoulder strap. Gotta fix that. I'm a lifeguard, and lemme tell you, lifeguards use the Thunderer. Loudest, best sound out there. When I'm laying in a stream 40 miles from the last left turn into nowhere, I want a whistle that can be heard, so the Thunderer's the thing. The plastic made it so I can remove it from my frozen lips, which I counted as a good thing.

at first it starts out as a little sound and then ahhh my ears...and unless attached to a chain/string of some sort, will go flying across the room....watch out! But yes, what do you expect from a whistle? It's what you're going to get.

it works when i can keep it in my mouth and i came to find out that when you open your mouth it will fall out and go down your shirt so if you ever seem to loose it just look down your shirt and it might be there but other wise it was great blowing out my families ear drums

Totally blew. Tried it out first in the Wind River Mountains in Wyoming. After returning home, the news made mention that a large percentage of the animals in Yellowstone responded to a very lound noise from an undertermined location. They all headed to the Wind River Mountains right to the spot I blew the whistle!!! Of course, all the dangerous creatures stayed back. Get all the colors!

What could I possibly write about a whistle?!? All I can say is that it works and if I get lost in the Smoky Mountains next week when I am hiking, then it might save my life. Don't worry I take other precautions on not getting lost!
